Baozi, hearing her call out his full name, felt a bit dumbfounded and lost. Knowing his own name, could it really be Wufu?
Wufu scanned the crowd, her gaze sweeping over the villagers who had come to watch the excitement, and said coldly, "Didn’t you all vocally label me Wufu as someone without shame, someone who does disgraceful things? How is it that you were so loud with your accusations, and now you don’t recognize me? Or are you all blind, just full of bluster?"
Her words were as if she had cursed all those who gossiped.
The villagers quieted down.
"Here I am, Wufu, standing right before you. Who will come forward and tell me about the dishonest money I supposedly made? I would like to ask, which dog’s eyes saw it?" Wufu glanced coldly at Baozi and continued, "Come on, speak up. Weren’t you quite outspoken just moments ago?"
This cold stare was devoid of any warmth, causing Baozi to shiver smartly, saying nothing.
"What’s the matter? I’ve given you the chance, and no one wants to speak up? Or do you all prefer to hide like rats that can’t stand the light, only daring to gossip and hide in shadows?"
"The silver I earned with my skills, you all are green with envy, spouting nonsense. What’s white, you say it’s black, not fearing that Heaven will strike you down," Wufu continued. "You say we earn dirty money, but it’s really a question of who has the filthy heart. You all know very well, and Heaven is watching. Telling lies with eyes open will bring divine punishment."
The scene fell into silence, with Zhou Xuennian wanting to step out and say something, but Old Lady Zhou held him back firmly.

"Xiaobao, Xiaobao." Someone called out urgently, rushing over. Seeing Baozi looking like a pig’s head, they let out a wail and lunged over, trembling hands touching his face: "Who did this, who’s this heartless person?"
That was Baozi’s mother, who upon seeing Wufu, had eyes that turned red. Her hands turned into claws as she reached for Wufu, "You dare hit my son, I’ll kill you, you little bitch."
She was a shrew, else she couldn’t have raised a scumbag like Baozi – she deserved being hit by her own son.
Dealing with the likes of Baozi and his gang, Wufu never blinked, and a woman, she regarded her even less. Whether it was one or two, she’d take them head-on. With barely a move, she had Baozi’s mother sporting a bruised face, and ultimately even brandished a knife, which scared Baozi’s mother so much that her face turned pale.
The carving knife was forcefully thrust into the old locust tree: "I’m really not joking. If you won’t let us live in peace, then let’s all go down together."
