Doted By The Regent King Chapter 257

Wufu leapt up, aiming to win with a single move, but she hadn’t expected that her opponent wasn’t a pushover either, and had come prepared.

Before she could pounce, Coffin Guy had already thrown a handful of white powder towards her face.

Wufu cursed inwardly and performed a backflip in mid-air, her toes twirling as she retreated to a safe distance, with her sleeve covering her nose.

What a despicable and shameless bastard.

Just as she had managed to steady herself, Coffin Guy charged at her with his knife raised. Wufu’s right hand drooped, and the Butterfly Knife hidden in her sleeve slid into her grasp, which she opened with one hand.

As Coffin Guy hacked down with his knife, she arched her body backward to avoid the blade, her right hand simultaneously slashing.

The sharp knife cut across Coffin Guy’s hand, quickly drawing a line of blood. His face twisted into an even uglier grimace as he bulged his eyes and lifted his knife again, while his other hand reached towards his back.

Wufu, with sharp eyes, coldly smiled. As he tried to throw more powder, she clamped down on that wrist, while her other hand, holding the Hu Die Knife, tossed it upwards, freeing her hand to deliver a forceful punch to his abdomen.

"The same trick won’t work twice," Wufu sneered softly. She yanked and pulled, nimbly circling to his back. Her palm opened to catch the Hu Die Knife that she had thrown earlier. The knife twirled in her hand, and with force, she drew it across his arm in a fluid sequence of movements.

Clang, Coffin Guy’s knife dropped to the ground.

He cried out in pain, but Wufu had already delivered a powerful kick to the crook of his knee. Coffin Guy collapsed, facing a row of glass bottles.

"Even if you kneel for a lifetime, you can’t atone for the sins you’ve committed, you freak," Wufu said, forcibly pulling his hair to make him look at the row of glass bottles.

Blood trickled from the corner of Coffin Guy’s mouth as he let out a cackling laugh, "Even if I die, I’ve made a profit."

"Still talking tough," Wufu put the knife away and grabbed his neck with both hands, twisting it sharply.

Coffin Guy collapsed limply to the ground, sprawled out like a Toad.

Wufu rotated her wrists and exhaled deeply, waving away the remaining traces of powder in the air.

Glancing at the man on the ground, she couldn’t help but kick him again, wishing she could just twist his neck and be done with it.

But five hundred taels, ah, she needed him alive to claim the Reward. Dead wasn’t as good as alive, and besides, why should she dirty her own hands?

She moved to the wall in the cellar and reached for the rope hanging there, preparing to tie up the man.

Suddenly, a strong gust came from behind her.

Wufu was taken aback and ducked low to avoid it.

No sooner had she dodged than the second gust followed. Wufu cursed silently, her movements nimble like a monkey’s as she kicked off the wall and charged towards her attacker.

The cellar was cramped, leaving Wufu no room to maneuver, and her attacker’s Kung Fu also relied heavily on bare-handed techniques, forcing her into close-quarters combat using fists and feet.

The attacker was somewhat surprised, but his eyes also displayed excitement as they exchanged moves back and forth.

After ten or so exchanges, Wufu sensed something was off. This person was no ordinary minion; they were a skilled martial artist with real Kung Fu abilities.

Glimpsing Coffin Guy lying on the ground out of the corner of her eye, she looked back at the person exchanging blows with her, cursing inwardly. Could it be that Coffin Guy had an accomplice?

When she finally recognized the attacker’s face, Wufu paused, astonished. How could it be him?

That moment’s hesitation was all her opponent needed to find an opening, and a punch came flying at her.

When exchanging blows, the last thing you want is to be distracted. Once you’re distracted, it could mean death or defeat—and that was exactly Wufu’s situation.

"Hoo Die!" Wufu shouted as the fist nearly reached her nose.
