Doted By The Regent King Chapter 314

Madam Zhou’s face flashed with a hint of panic, her gaze darting about in desperation. All she could think about was the possibility that she was defiled, that she had dragged her daughter into this mess. What should she do?

"Mother," Wufu said as she looked at her mother’s extremely flustered state, gripping her hand tightly, her face darkening as if it could drip water.

If before, she still held onto a sliver of hope that she might have seen wrong, but now Madam Zhou’s acknowledgment confirmed her own eyes were indeed correct—that beast was indeed Zhou Dajun.

Zhou Dajun, the Old Zhou family, very good, excellent.

Wufu ground her teeth, recalling the appearance of Zhou Dajun. Her fists clenched until her knuckles cracked.

It seemed unimaginable that such a young man could possess the heart of a bear and the gall of a leopard, daring to bully even his own aunt, contemplating such violation.

What scum, what trash. If he wanted women, he could go to the Flower Tower, look for someone else—why fixate on his own blood-related aunt? Why didn’t he go after his sister or his mother instead!

Zhou Dajun, he did not understand what family norms are, but she would teach him.

Wufu made no effort to conceal her fury and chill, which caused Madam Zhou, who had never seen such a display, to shudder in fear.

Wufu cut her off, holding her hand, and tried to soften her tone as much as possible, "Mother, don’t worry."

Madam Zhou’s voice hitched, "Wufu, he... he had been drinking, I smelled the alcohol on him, he..."

She didn’t know how Wufu would deal with Zhou Dajun, but seeing Wufu’s current state of rage, Zhou Dajun would definitely not withstand her fury.

Wufu was no longer the same person she used to be!

When she heard Madam Zhou’s words, Wufu’s face grew dark, "Mother, you’re not trying to make excuses for him at this time, are you?"

"No, I’m not, I’m not," Madam Zhou quickly shook her head.

"Mother," Wufu interrupted her, her face grim, "Being drunk is no excuse, neither is being intoxicated. You say he did this because he was drunk, but how do you know it wasn’t the alcohol giving him the courage?"

It was possible he desired to do what was forbidden and used the influence of alcohol to bolster his actions.

Madam Zhou went pale at these words, her lips trembling.

"Mother, you don’t need to worry about this. Just focus on recovering. The physician said you are blood deficient and weak—you need to rest well, or you’ll develop chronic ailments," Wufu counselled.

Seeing her mother’s unwillingness to let the matter rest, Madam Zhou asked further, "Wufu, what will you do?"

"I have my own sense of measure. Zhou Dajun, if he dares to do such things, he must be aware of the consequences," Wufu sneered. "Mother, you should be thankful that you’ve only hurt your forehead. If something worse had happened, I would take his life!"

I would take his life!

Those five short words, filled with blood-chilling ferocity and an icy coldness, felt as though they could freeze one to the bone.

Madam Zhou believed that she was not joking; the lack of warmth in Wufu’s eyes told her she truly intended to take his life.

Had she really met with an accident, Zhou Dajun likely wouldn’t be alive right now.

Shaken, Madam Zhou’s lips quivered as she stuttered, "Wufu, don’t, don’t be rash. Murder requires atonement with your life. Don’t act recklessly."

"Rest assured," Wufu glanced at her calloused hands, her lips curling into an almost imperceptible cold smile. Even her hands were no longer clean.

"Wufu," Madam Zhou raised her voice when she saw her daughter disregarded her words, "Listen to your mother, scolding him is fine, but you must not kill. Wufu, you are like precious porcelain, and he’s a clay pot—you can’t harm the jade vase just to kill a mouse. If anything happens to you, I won’t be able to live either."

Seeing her mother so agitated, Wufu, concerned it would harm her recovery, reassured, "I won’t kill him, mother, don’t worry." She hurried to add before Madam Zhou could respond, "But he can’t expect to escape punishment. Mother, I can’t do that."

No one would bully her without paying a price.
