Wufu returned to the main house, expecting to see Madam Zhou crying and weeping, but surprisingly, she was just sitting quietly on the bed, not making a sound, her face sorrowful, like a doll that had lost its soul.
"Miss," Hongyu heaved a sigh of relief when she saw her arrive, "Ever since Madam entered the room, she hasn’t spoken a word. I was really afraid she might do something foolish."
Wufu asked her to leave and sat down next to Madam Zhou, holding her hand, "Mother?"
