It was early morning, and there weren’t many visitors at the silver house yet. Jin Xi was somewhat surprised to see her.
"Miss, you’re up early today," Jin Xi greeted her with a smile.
Wufu responded, "I stayed overnight in town. I have something to discuss with the shopkeeper. Has he arrived?"
"Not yet," Jin Xi glanced at a Western clock hanging on the wall and said, "But it should be any minute now!"
No sooner had the words left her mouth than they saw Shopkeeper Lin enter from outside.
"Speak of Cao Cao and Cao Cao arrives," Wufu said with a smile.
Shopkeeper Lin was surprised to see her: "So early, why are you here?" Thinking she had come to deliver some jade pieces, he was delighted, "Could it be that you’ve carved another fine piece?"
Wufu couldn’t help but laugh and cry.
"Shopkeeper Lin, I’m not here to deliver goods, but to let you know that I’ve moved to Huayang County, in Fourth Happiness Alley, with an apricot tree in front of my new home," Wufu explained her purpose. "I came specially to inform you, so that you don’t make a pointless trip to Wozi Village."
"Why did you move so suddenly?" Shopkeeper Lin was a bit surprised: "Didn’t you say you were going to build a house?"
"Well, various issues arose and we couldn’t finish building, so we won’t be living in Wozi Village anymore, and it’s not very convenient," Wufu said with a smile.
"It’s for the best. Your old home was indeed a bit remote. If some thief were to hide in the mountains, you would be in danger!" Thinking of Wufu’s old residence, Shopkeeper Lin continued, "Moving to the county is better after all, as it’s more bustling. When I visit the county later, I’ll introduce you to my superior. That way, if anything comes up in the same county, you can seek out my superior."
Having been a shopkeeper for many years, Shopkeeper Lin naturally understood the difficulties of daily life. Wufu knew his intentions were kind and gave him a grateful bow, "In that case, I thank you, Shopkeeper Lin."
"No problem at all," Shopkeeper Lin said. "Don’t mention it, just focus on finishing the rest of your jade carving for me."
Wufu chuckled awkwardly, "I’ve been occupied with a lot lately..."
"You have no idea," Shopkeeper Lin interrupted her excitedly, rubbing his hands. "The Lotus Pendant you delivered last time caught the eye of the daughter of the Prefectural Magistrate’s House. I hear she held a chrysanthemum viewing party and it was quite the hit, and all the young ladies were asking where she got that jade pendant. Knowing it came from our Hundred Treasures Silver House, business has picked up quite a bit."
Wufu raised an eyebrow: "The Prefectural Magistrate’s House is in The Capital, right? What brought her to Maofeng Town... "
Shopkeeper Lin explained, "We have a branch in The Capital. The pieces you brought last time were all sent there."
Realizing this, Wufu said, "Shopkeeper Lin, I’ll carve them as quickly as I can, but as you know my personality..."
"Understood, understood. Then, I shall be waiting," Shopkeeper Lin waved his hand. What he didn’t say was that there were already people waiting for the jade pieces carved by Craftsman Wufu; no matter what they were, they wanted to reserve them in advance.
With a few more such pieces, her reputation would surely grow.
