Drahon stared at the Draconic Rats and, raising his hands forward, he summoned his Draconic shield to him. If he was to be efficient in taking out rats, then he had to be fast, and he was certain he might just survive without losing all his health points, going back to the dark tower, and dying from excessive loss of health points.
About six Draconic rats all looked at Drahon at once, ready to come at him at once.
Drahon didn’t wait, he couldn’t risk another bite.
With all the power he could muster, he threw the shield at them.
It zipped through the air, rolling and then hitting three of the six Draconic rats at the neck in a slide.

Drahon stared at the words and was perplexed.
He looked at Devon and Ayvira. They were pretty efficient but they were taking things one after the other.
They weren’t killing the Draconic rats as fast as him, instead they did so one at a time, like there was no urgency to it.
Didn’t they know he was dying!

The shield he had earlier thrown was now in his hands and he gripped it, very much pressured.
He darted to the other rats, sending their heads off with his sword.
Drahon kicked one like a football ball and another like a soccer ball, the blood pouring in the air as it fell.
Drahon didn’t bother to check his health points, doing so would only make him more anxious, but he knew he must have lost a lot.
Devon and Ayvira had slain about eighteen Draconic rats, pretty efficient but Drahon needed more of them dead or he would be dead.
Drahon could almost cry out of frustration at this point.
But then, the thought struck him. Why fight normally when he was a half dragon?

Rough scales erupted from his back, his horns became much bigger, his eyes became slit-like that of a serpent, and he grew fangs and claws on his hands.
Devon and Ayvira paused, staring at him, and so did the Draconic rats.
Drahon spat on the ground and, staring at them, he gritted his teeth.
A surge of crazy adrenaline went through him. He was in god mode at this point.
As earlier said in his Draconic form description, his Draconic senses were enhanced, his speed was enhanced, and his brutality also.
All enhanced because of the Half Dragon form!
Even his vision was now sharper.
He dashed at the Draconic rats....
He didn’t use his sword, neither did he use his shield.
All he used were his claws.
Devon and Ayvira were astonished by his outburst, but they couldn’t blame him.
The fear of death could do anything to a man. The fear of death was dire and unpredictable.
Death..., to avoid death!
Drahon became death himself.
The Draconic rats all feared him now, at least that was the last emotion they had before dying in the hands of Drahon.
"Well," Devon said grinning. "Time he does all the work."
Drahon tore and tore until he ripped them all apart, doing so very viciously!
After killing them, Drahon knelt down, he was very weak at this point.

He honestly couldn’t keep going . At this rate, he was pretty sure he’d be dead any time soon.
But then, he had done it. He had ended it and even though he might have lost a lot of EXP, he was nonetheless alive.
He looked at the others and then, slowly deactivated his Half Dragon form.
He waited for ten more seconds and when nothing happened, he heaved a sigh of relief.
"I mean, if you had known, you could have averted your health points draining long ago by simply activating your Half Dragon," Ayvira said.
Drahon smiled slightly.
"’Ifs’," Drahon said and chuckled, almost like a mentally disabled person.
"What if I had never been born, I wouldn’t have been here in the first place."
Ayvira smiled while Devon laughed at that.
"The fuck man," he said. "You suddenly sound like some wise old genius haha."
He walked over to Drahon and stretched his hands forward, making him take it. He stood up and they all looked at the dead bodies of the Draconic rats.
"Sometimes I wonder what is the true reason behind the Dragon Game," Ayvira said, looking at the Draconic rat corpses.
"I think the aim is for people to die," Devon said as he nodded slowly in the negative.
"I don’t understand why in order to get to the Dragon Shop, a supposed place to eat since we are all hungry, we get to face Draconic rats who bite and drain your health points."
Drahon wasn’t actually paying so much attention to what Devon was saying, instead his focus was on the gate that would lead them out of the dungeon and then to the Dragon Shop.
Weren’t they told that after clearing this place of the Draconic rats, they would be given access into the gate?
Wasn’t the gate to open now?
Suddenly they saw words in golden runes in the air, visible to them all:
