In the hotel, after Bai Zhiqing's face had deflated, Jiang Feng drove her back to the company.
"Sister Zhiqing, did it go well?" Nangong Qingcheng asked quickly upon seeing Bai Zhiqing and Jiang Feng return together.
"No, their demands were a bit excessive." Bai Zhiqing gave a wry smile.
Nangong Qingcheng paused for a moment, noticing the unnatural look on Bai Zhiqing's face and guessing that the negotiating party might have been unreasonable. She didn't press any further but instead consoled her, "Then let's just let it go. We were just trying anyway. You don't have to worry about it, Sister Zhiqing."
"Mm!" Bai Zhiqing smiled, "Qingcheng, I'm heading back to the office first."
Jiang Feng watched her head upstairs as if nothing was wrong, feeling unsettled inside.
Nangong Qingcheng glanced at Jiang Feng, then followed Bai Zhiqing upstairs.
Jiang Feng shook his head and returned to the security room behind the warehouse.
