A gigantic flower-shaped monster suddenly burst out, scaring everyone senseless. Before they could react, its massive petals opened, revealing a huge mouth with sharp teeth that glowed menacingly—bringing to mind a man-eating plant.

CRUNCH—! The next moment, the flower-shaped monster plunged down with astonishing speed, biting an adventurer whole. Its sharp teeth pierced eight or nine huge holes through the adventurer’s body, and crimson blood spurted wildly, splattering those nearby—a truly terrifying sight.

"Ah!!!!!!!! Help-... help me!!!"

Suddenly attacked, the adventurer only reacted to feel intense pain throughout his body, instantly revealing a look of despair as he slowly stretched out his hand downward.

GNAW—! However, before he could finish, the flower-shaped monster chewed his entire body to pieces and swallowed it. His hand was bitten off and fell to the ground. The scene was extremely gruesome.

"Mon-monster’s eating people! Run!"

Seeing this, the terrified crowd’s scalps tingled, their hearts freezing as if plunged into an ice cellar. They fled in horror. In an instant, chaos erupted with constant falling and trampling accidents.

After devouring the tragically killed adventurer, the monster shrieked, seemingly intent on hunting down the fleeing crowd. However, the next moment, several adventurers gritted their teeth and stepped forward to block the monster.

At the scene, Blake was the calmest, watching indifferently. The tragically killed adventurer was the one with negative luck value, the instigator the system had predicted would die within ten seconds. With a -42 luck value, to be chewed and eaten by a man-eating flower monster like a peanut—how much more tragic could it be with even more negative value?

While several adventurers struggled with the man-eating flower, Blake pondered such thoughts. He had no obligation to save these people; whether he acted depended on his mood.

"Blake, go help them! They’re children of the Loki Familia; fighting a monster like that is too dangerous!"

Just then, Hestia suddenly grabbed Blake’s arm, who was deep in thought, and said anxiously.

Hearing this, Blake raised an eyebrow. He did have a slight impression of the fighting men—they seemed to have been at the banquet the night before last. The sudden burst of speed and power from this flower-shaped monster clearly indicated it was a Level 4 monster, a special species with strong scales resistant to damage. In the original story, even Level 5 adventurers like Tiona and Tione couldn’t break its defense bare-handed, let alone these Level 3 adventurers.

Due to the Monster Feria, adventurers were lightly equipped, most without weapons. If they had weapons, teamwork would have made victory easy.

Blake mumbled, then slightly bent his middle finger, as if to flick.

Just as Hestia and Lily wondered about Blake’s movements, he suddenly flicked his finger. In an instant, a thunderous explosion sounded, the air twisted unnaturally, and strong winds raged, making it impossible to open one’s eyes. It also formed an air cannon blasting toward the flower-shaped monster’s head at supersonic speed.

A huge, barrel-shaped hole instantly appeared in the flower-shaped monster’s head, which directly exploded. A strange yellow-black magic stone dropped to the ground.

Seeing this, whether fleeing pedestrians or the three Loki Familia adventurers saved by Blake, all swallowed hard, staring blankly at Blake standing with his hands in his pockets, utterly nonchalant. This scene was too violent. Instantly killing a high-level monster with just a flick of a finger—they had never heard of such a thing!

"Uh, thank you, Big Brother Blake."

Afterward, the Loki Familia members snapped back to reality. They picked up the magic stone and approached Blake, offering it with sincere gratitude. Although older than Blake, power reigned supreme.

"Next time something happens, I advise you to run as fast as you can. With so many adventurers here, only the three of you foolishly charged forward and almost lost your lives. It’s good to act heroically, but not worth throwing your life away. Finn and the others would be sad then."

Blake said casually, taking the magic stone and tossing it into his spatial ring.

Hearing this, the few broke out in cold sweat, unsure what to say. Wasn’t such an act usually praised? They didn’t expect a lecture. However, they realized Blake was right. Dozens of adventurers were present; though not many high-level, only the three had rushed forward like heroes. If Blake hadn’t been there, they would have been in real danger.

"All right, Blake, they meant well."

Hestia pulled at Blake’s sleeve, saying helplessly.

"Anyway, you two should leave here first. This kind of incident is definitely not an accident."

Startled by Hestia’s words, Blake rubbed his face and waved his hand.

The Loki Familia members exchanged glances, then quickly left. Although they wanted to ask about the Familia War Game, realizing they weren’t close enough to Blake, they swallowed their words and silently departed.

"Hestia, Lily, I’ve set up a defensive barrier here. Don’t leave this spot. There’s more monster commotion over there; I’ll go take care of it."

Blake turned to the two girls watching him, waiting for instructions, and spoke softly.

"I understand. Go on. I knew you were a kind person, Blake."

Hestia immediately giggled and patted Blake’s arm, saying contentedly.

"Lord Blake, good luck!"

"Uh... then I’ll be going."

Hearing their words, Blake was slightly taken aback. He shook his head and quickly left. He wasn’t acting out of kindness or a desire to be a hero; it was simply because his adorable disciple’s aura mixed with monster auras in that direction, clearly indicating a battle. That was the only reason.
