DxD: The Replication System! Chapter 130

Hearing Roy's words, Lili fell silent.

She really wanted to ask why Roy knew so much about the Soma Familia.

Because of their god Soma, the Soma Familia could be called an oddity among Orario's Familias.

Of course, "oddity" was derogatory.

The Soma Familia's reputation was terrible.

Other Familias sought teammates outside their own. As long as luck wasn't awful, one could find decent partners.

But if outsiders heard a teammate was from the Soma Familia, they'd usually steer clear.

Only malicious adventurers chose Soma members.

Thus, major Familia incidents might take time for the Guild to notice.

That window was enough to tie up loose ends.

"You want to save up and leave the Soma Familia, right? But do you think Zanis's greed would really let you go?" Roy's words shook Lili's resolve again.

Zanis had promised: save enough to quit, and she'd be free.

But it was just bait—Zanis knew her transformation magic could profit him greatly.

Though shocked Roy knew her thoughts, Lili wasn't surprised given his knowledge of her and the Soma Familia.

"Compared to leading the Soma Familia and serving only me, or remaining a useless supporter trampled and abused by arrogant adventurers—which is better?" Roy smiled.

"If you can evade Guild punishment, Lili would choose the former," Lili didn't doubt Roy's strength.

Dealing with adventurers since childhood, she knew Roy was at least first-class—else he couldn't have one-shot her pursuer.

That male adventurer was a seasoned Lv.1.

With Roy's power, handling Zanis decisively wouldn't be hard.

Lili nodded silently and asked, "What's your name, adventurer? Lili can't keep calling you 'adventurer.'"

"Roy... Roy," Lili murmured, the name familiar as she racked her memory.

"Are you the adventurer who beat Loki Familia members in the arena?" Lili suppressed her shock, voicing her doubt.

Soma members used any means to earn money.

The arena was a frequent haunt for some.

Roy's match had become post-drink gossip among them.

This boosted Lili's trust in Roy further.

Backed by someone rivaling first-class adventurers, a detailed plan would ensure success.

"Alright, Lili will follow Mr. Roy's words. What's your plan?" Lili asked humbly.

"Can you meet God Soma?" Roy inquired.

"Meeting God Soma requires Captain Zanis's consent," Lili replied. "With some money, he'd let me see him."

"So, even updating your Falna is hard?" Roy raised an eyebrow.

"Lili hasn't updated her Falna yet," she nodded.

"Forget it—not troublesome. I'll help you accumulate excelia first, then go straight to God Soma for the update," Roy pondered and said.

For low-level adventurers, excelia was easy to gather.

Deep-dive to an unreachable floor normally, and it'd suffice.

In the anime, Lefiya seemed to accumulate excelia that way, led by Finn and others.

"Track Zanis's movements—if he heads to the dungeon, notify me ahead," Roy added.

To eliminate Zanis, the dungeon was ideal—minimizing Guild scrutiny.

Adventurers dying to monsters was commonplace; the Guild wouldn't probe deeply.

Unless necessary, Roy saw no need to flout Guild rules—just exploit loopholes.

Dungeon monsters were the easiest, least traceable method.

In fact, to control the Soma Familia, Roy could charm Zanis into a puppet.

It'd ease Lili's training too.

But he didn't know if charmed people showed to gods.

The risk of detection was high.

The world had many beauty gods—two named in the anime alone.

Beyond Orario, numerous beauty gods wielded passive charm.

Without checks, it'd be chaos.

Thus, better invest early time than risk later godly discovery and trouble.

"Got it," Lili nodded, glancing at Roy. She gritted her teeth and asked, "Should Lili serve you now?"

Might as well get it over with—early death, early rebirth.

Roy said, "You aren't qualified to serve me."

"I'm tolerant of subordinates," Roy dressed and said. "Once you captain the Soma Familia, I won't meddle in reforming its atmosphere. Just be available when needed."

Roy's words stirred Lili's heart.

She'd long despised the Soma Familia's toxicity—or harbored deep resentment.

She wouldn't mind destroying it if possible.

Yet, despite her hatred, she held faint hopes and complex feelings for the Familia she'd known since childhood.

Now, a chance to rebuild it—Lili wouldn't miss it.
