In the morning, an unexpected event occurred, so after waking up, she rushed directly to the Corporation. Her mind was full of Lyra Grant, drafts, and matters concerning her mother and brother. She had no time to think about anything else.
It wasn’t until the comedy of this morning ended that last night’s scenes replayed in her mind, making her both nervous and embarrassed.
What made her nervous was going to the Pub yesterday, drinking three bottles of beer despite her poor drinking tolerance. If Kyle hadn’t arrived in time, whatever might have happened afterward would definitely have been something she regretted for a lifetime.
What embarrassed her was remembering that she proactively called Kyle yesterday, almost coercively asked him to tell stories, and then, when Kyle arrived at the Pub, publicly hugged his waist, shouting about him being her boyfriend or something like that.
That peculiar feeling really makes it hard for Mabel Quinn to describe.
However, looking from another aspect, it seems quite incredible. She remembers she hadn’t even given an address, yet Kyle found her, and during that call, Kyle told her quite a few stories. Although she was drunk at the time, she remembers the stories he told quite well.

"I didn’t think it through. This time, I’m really grateful to you." She hurriedly said. Of course, these words were also sincere. She was indeed thankful for Kyle’s appearance last night.
Her sincere apology slightly tempered his anger.
"Isn’t there anything else you want to say besides that?" He asked.
"Uh..." She glanced at him, thought for a moment, and said, "Your voice... uh, it’s quite suitable for storytelling, it sounds quite flavorful."
His face darkened slightly, and seeing his unpleasant expression, she made an effort to add, "The stories you told yesterday were quite good too. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and that Daughter of the Sea and the Three Little Pigs building a house... I quite liked them all."
