Looking at her , he suddenly felt somewhat annoyed, "Are you afraid of me?"
"I..." She just opened her mouth when he quickly interrupted her, "Forget it, no need to answer."
Whether she's afraid or not, it meant nothing to him. Since she's his fate, all she needs to do is stay by his side and stop his physical pain when he's hurting. Beyond that, nothing else matters!
As time ticked by, Mabel Quinn wasn't sure how long she had been hugging Kyle Kinston, but judging by the soreness in her legs, it hadn't been a short time.
She was beginning to suspect that Kyle had some sort of embracing obsession. Even normal people wouldn't hug for hours, right? At this rate, they could join some sort of hugging competition.
"Um... How long do we have to keep hugging ?" Mabel couldn't help but ask. Before meeting him today, she never expected Kyle wanted to meet just to hug forever.
"All night," he said flatly.
She almost felt like she blacked out on the spot; if they really hugged all night, her legs would surely give out.
"Can we take a break?" she asked, thinking that even tasks need a halftime at least.
"A bit sore," she admitted honestly.
The next moment, he suddenly let go of her embrace, but one hand still held onto her wrist, pulling her toward the sofa.
The unexpected movement made her stumble, nearly falling, but fortunately, he supported her with one hand.
"Where are we going?" she asked in surprise.
"Didn't you say you were tired?" he said, already leading her to the sofa.
Even when she sat on the sofa, Mabel couldn't quite believe it. She said she was tired, and Kyle actually let her sit on the sofa to rest?
This CEO... uh, is he really that easy to talk to?
They sat on the sofa, facing each other in silence, and Kyle still held Mabel's hand, not letting go.
Mabel glanced at the TV in front of the sofa and said, "Can we watch a drama?"
The pitch-black eyes studied her.
She quickly added, "I'm following a drama, and today is the finale."
His eyes continued to stare at her, making her swallow the saliva secreted in her throat. Being stared at inevitably made her feel a bit tense.
"The remote is on the coffee table," finally, his thin lips parted, uttering this sentence.
She exhaled sharply, then wanted to use her right hand to take the remote. After all, it was closer to her right hand. However, her right hand was currently held by him. She glanced at him, seemingly without any intention to let go, so she struggled to use her left hand to pick up the remote, turned on the TV, and selected the channel of the drama she was following.
The drama had already started. Initially, Mabel was still conscious of Kyle by her side. After all, he was a top CEO, and many famous people had to yield to him.
But as time passed, her attention gradually shifted entirely to the drama, feeling the highs and lows with the characters' fates and even began introducing the plot to Kyle.
