And another person said, "Even if the bag might be fake, the bank card couldn’t be fake, right? I know that bank card; it’s issued by Z Bank for super VIP level guests. In this city, there aren’t many people who have that card."
Hearing this, the others didn’t know what to say. Indeed, bags could be counterfeit, imitations and such, but bank cards couldn’t be faked, right?
So someone looked at Grace Yowell, "Your friend, she must have some connections, right?"
Grace Yowell looked bewildered. She had invited Mabel Quinn out today with the intent to make Mabel look bad, which is why she had specifically informed Mrs. Zhang.
She wanted Mabel Quinn to understand the gap between them. Even if Mabel had accompanied Daniel Harris back in Drumbeat Village, so what? Over the years, it was she who had been with Daniel!
She had worked hard for so many years and had finally become a big star, worthy of Daniel, whereas Mabel Quinn was just a small-time screenwriter, so what did that count for?
But now, things didn’t seem to be developing as she had hoped, leaving her with confusion as well.

Filled with doubt, Grace Yowell returned to her private residence, only to be startled as she walked through the door. She saw Daniel Harris sitting in the living room, flipping through a photo album.
Grace Yowell felt her heart pounding. Her agent had told her yesterday that a show needed some photos from her childhood and teenage years, so she had taken out the album and selected a few decent photos to give to her agent. But she had left the album on the table, not putting it away.
"Why are you here?" she approached and asked softly. Every time Daniel looked at her old photos, she always felt a sense of trepidation, fearing he might notice something off.
"I hadn’t seen you for a while, so I came by to check in. But looking at these photos makes me feel a bit nostalgic," said Daniel Harris.
"Back then in the village, I was always like a tomboy, never dressing well, all the photos look so silly and awkward," Grace Yowell said.
"This is a photo of you at 11, right?" he pointed to one of the photos. When he first found her, he had also looked through her old photos and knew what she roughly looked like at 11.
"Yes." Grace responded, seeing Daniel’s fingers gently caressing the photo, his eyes warmly gazing at it as if he was reminiscing about something.
She knew he must be recalling those two months he spent with Mabel Quinn back then.
But in his perception, it was her who had spent those two months with him! And she’s now right beside him, so why is he looking at the photos?
She’s been by his side all these years; does she really not compare to those two months when he was blind?
Thinking about Mabel Quinn, Grace Yowell suddenly felt panic and confusion, blurting out, "Daniel, I’m right here by your side, so why do you always think about when I was eleven?"
"You don’t like me thinking about that year?" Daniel Harris looked up at Grace Yowell.
