"Mm." Kyle Kinston responded blandly.
"Are you really sure she’s the one?" After all, finding ’the one’ in a sea of people sounds like a pipe dream.
Kyle reached out his hand, "As long as this hand touches her body, it will no longer hurt. You tell me if she is the one."
Dorian Howards was momentarily stunned, well, there was no doubt about it. But this also meant his cousin had no chance, though he didn’t know if Francine would accept this fact.
"So when can I meet ’the one’? This way I at least won’t feel coming to J City was a waste."
"Today she’s out having dinner with her friend, so when she comes back, you’ll naturally meet her." Kyle said.
Thus, Dorian widened his eyes again, "You... you two are living together?!"
"A Kinston family member living with their soulmate, what’s wrong with that?" Kyle retorted.
Well, there’s nothing wrong. The Kinston family and their soulmates have always been like life partners.
While they were chatting, Kyle’s phone rang, "... drank too much? And you? Did you drink... Just stay there, don’t go anywhere, I’m coming to pick you up. Remember, don’t drink."
After the call ended, Kyle looked up at Dorian and said, "Mabel’s friend got drunk. I’m going to pick her and her friend up."
"I’ll go with you. I have nothing else to do anyway." Dorian stood up, because he was quite curious about Kyle’s soulmate and wanted to meet her.
Kyle had no objections, and he and Dorian drove to the address sent from Mabel Quinn’s phone.
At the night market stall, Mabel Quinn looked at Alice Conley who was already a bit drunk, and found herself at a loss on how to console her, so she tried her best to persuade her to drink less.
"Don’t bother persuading me. Today, I just want to drink to my heart’s content." Alice exclaimed, "Mabel, what the hell was I thinking? How did I end up with a boyfriend like that? I thought he looked honest, and assumed he was honest too, but turns out his looks are fucking deceiving!"
Earlier today, almost off work, Mabel got a call from Alice asking if she had time to meet up for dinner. When they met, Mabel found out Alice had broken up with her boyfriend. The reason was that Alice’s boyfriend, Archibald, wanted Alice to ask Mabel to put in a word with Kyle Kinston for a good job.
Alice refused outright, telling her boyfriend not to count on that and to find a job himself.
Then Archibald began to hurl insults, saying Alice couldn’t stand to see him do well, and that she wouldn’t even ask a friend for a favor, what kind of girlfriend was she? He even said if she didn’t do it, they should break up.
In a fit of anger, Alice immediately decided to break up.
But Mabel could see her friend was serious about this relationship, otherwise she wouldn’t be drinking all night, "Alice, how about I talk to Kyle about finding Archibald a job..."
"No!" Alice hiccuped as she spoke, "Why find a job for that jerk! Mabel... I’m just frustrated, that’s why I’m drinking. I feel like I’m so unlucky, in two relationships and both turned out crappy. I never really meant for you to find a job for that jerk. He’s a college graduate, with arms and legs... not disabled, so why can’t he find a job? He just wants an easy way out..."
