"Wait... wait a minute!" These three words were spoken with such difficulty, as she held his hand, trembling slightly, not too tightly, but it felt as if a drowning person was clutching onto a piece of driftwood, unable to let go.
Orion was a bit surprised. This wasn’t in Lillian Scott’s previous performances, but Mabel Quinn performed it in a way that made one feel Audrey’s conflicting emotions about confessing love.
Then he saw her slowly lift her head, with a resolute determination in those dark almond eyes, "Caspian, could you look at me the way you look at Amy? Because... I really like you."
Her voice was so firm, yet her hand was still trembling.
For a moment, Orion felt a sense of daze, as if standing before him was Audrey, the proud young lady from a scholarly family, making her first confession of love because of it.
In the actors’ lounge, Grace Yowell was listening to her agent gossiping.
"The director wants Mabel Quinn to perform opposite Orion, playing Lillian Scott’s role?" Grace Yowell asked.
"Yeah, this time Mabel Quinn is going to make a fool of herself. Lillian Scott’s scene has been performed so many times and still hasn’t satisfied the director. She has been holding a lot of frustration in her heart, unable to vent it on the director, so she can only take it out on Mabel Quinn," Noah Fletcher, the agent, said.
"Not everyone is cut out for acting," Grace Yowell said with a slight smirk. She was happy to see Mabel make a fool of herself, hoping that after the embarrassment, Mabel would leave the crew, allowing her to feel more at ease.
Just then, Grace Yowell’s assistant suddenly rushed into the lounge and said to Grace, "Miss Yowell, Mr. Harris came to the production crew, and somehow, he’s walking towards the filming set."
"What?" Grace Yowell was startled. Daniel always disliked crowded places, so even when he visited the crew, he would only meet privately with some people in the lounge or meeting room, or not see anyone at all, just coming to see her. But who would’ve thought that today, Daniel would actively go to the filming set.
And at the filming set... Grace Yowell suddenly felt a chill and asked her assistant, "Is Mabel Quinn still at the filming set?"
"Yes... yes, she’s currently performing opposite Orion," the assistant replied.
The assistant and agent then saw Grace Yowell suddenly dash out of the lounge as if there was an urgent matter, leaving the two in the lounge looking at each other before quickly leaving as well.
Daniel cannot see Mabel Quinn! He can’t!

However, as she rushed to the filming set, she suddenly stopped dead in her tracks as if struck by lightning.
She saw Daniel Harris standing not far from the filming set, watching the scene. And under the lights, Mabel Quinn was holding Orion’s hand, speaking in a dry voice, "I don’t know if you like me even a little, but I know if I don’t say it today, I might regret it for the rest of my life.
