Kyle Kinston remained silent, continuing to walk towards the adversary with his gun.
The nearby security personnel hurriedly shouted, trying to stop Kyle from approaching. But in the next moment, Kyle directly used his toy gun to hit the hand of the criminal holding the knife.
The criminal felt the pain but didn’t release his grip. Just as he was about to clamp the little girl in his arm again, Kyle suddenly lunged forward, placing his palm on the little girl’s neck. Two of his fingers clamped the Dagger while the toy gun in his other hand was directly pressed against the criminal’s temple.
This all happened in the blink of an eye. Kyle’s speed was so fast that many people hadn’t reacted yet.
Only at this moment did the criminal see clearly that Kyle was holding a toy gun, and he angrily said, "Fuck, are you trying to scare me with a toy gun? Are those two fingers of yours not important to you?"
"Even if it’s a toy gun, at this close range, it can still take your life. Do you want to try it? Let’s see if I lose two fingers or if you lose your life?" Kyle said coldly, his voice icy, without any fluctuation.
At this moment, the criminal was still holding the little girl with one hand, and holding the Dagger with the other, though it was clamped by Kyle’s two fingers. However, it was still very close to the girl’s neck. The criminal felt as if with just a little more force, he could regain the upper hand.
But... the toy gun pressed against his temple also filled him with fear. This man who appeared suddenly gave him the feeling that he didn’t care about his two fingers at all.
Eventually, the criminal let go of the little girl, and the surrounding security personnel swarmed in to subdue the criminal. The little girl’s mother hugged her, crying with relief after the ordeal.
Mabel Quinn rushed over, grabbing Kyle’s hand to check. She saw earlier that when his fingers clamped the Dagger, blood had started to gush out.
Sure enough, his fingers had been injured by the Dagger, with crimson blood continuously streaming down.
Mabel hurriedly took out her tissue, providing emergency aid to stop the bleeding. Fortunately, she examined the wound and found it not too deep, merely grazed by the Dagger.
"Do you know how dangerous that was? How could you..."
"But you wanted to save her, didn’t you?" he said.
She was at a loss for words, "Even if I wanted to save her, your safety comes first." People are always selfish, caring more about the safety of those they love and care about.
"I’m fine." He bent down, his head gently brushing her cheek, with a subtle hint of playfulness on his handsome face.
But she still felt terrified, and... thinking about how calm he was facing the criminal and his proficiency with the gun made her feel like she saw the real him for a moment.
Could a six-year-old child really be that calm?
Or perhaps even though his mind is now only six years old, many of his instincts remain?
