"Enough!" Daniel Harris said coldly, and Lillian Scott only felt as if her hands were about to shatter.
When Daniel Harris shook off Lillian Scott’s hand, she held her hand, moaning in pain.
But Daniel Harris didn’t pay any attention to Lillian Scott. He just walked over to Mabel Quinn, and the next moment, suddenly picked her up and strode toward the washroom.
Mabel Quinn felt completely bewildered. When did Daniel Harris arrive? And... now, in front of everyone, carrying her , it’s bound to cause misunderstandings.
"I can walk myself, please put me down first." Mabel Quinn shouted.
However, he completely ignored her words, continuing his strides, only when passing by the director, he left a cold remark, "From tomorrow on, I don’t want to see Lillian Scott in this industry anymore."
Instantly, everyone who heard this sentence looked at Lillian Scott, their eyes containing sympathy, gratification, or perhaps anticipation for what was coming.
Everyone understood, since Daniel Harris said this, it meant Lillian Scott’s path in the entertainment industry was thoroughly blocked.
Lillian Scott’s face turned pale, and she immediately collapsed, sitting on the ground. However, Grace Yowell didn’t even glance at Lillian Scott, who was like a discarded pawn, her eyes fixed straight on Daniel Harris carrying Mabel Quinn away. Her fingers at her side kept clenching, letting the nails pierce into her palms.
"Please put me down, I don’t want to cause misunderstandings, Mr. Harris." Mabel Quinn said.
"Misunderstanding? What kind of misunderstanding do you think there could be?" Daniel Harris paused his steps, but did put her down as she wished. However, his expression remained gloomy, "Mabel Quinn, you’ve certainly got some skills today!"
She was startled, feeling there was more to his words. Could it be that he saw through something?
After drying her hair and changing back into her clothes, Mabel Quinn was found by the stage crew upon exiting the washroom, "Miss Quinn, Mr. Harris wants you to see him in the lounge."
Mabel Quinn responded and went to the lounge where Daniel Harris was.
In the lounge, Daniel Harris was sipping tea. Seeing Mabel Quinn come in, he said lightly, "You acted well today; everyone believes Lillian Scott pushed you into the pool."
He really had figured it out. Mabel Quinn slightly bit her lip, "Then are you planning to expose it, Mr. Harris?"
"Since I didn’t intend to expose it before, I won’t do so in the future either," he said. He hadn’t expected she would cleverly use the camera angles and a certain degree of acting to create such an illusion, "Have you studied acting?"
"Sometimes I audit some classes at the acting department," she said. In her view, to write a good script, one must understand some aspects of acting.
"What you did today was too risky, have you considered what might happen if there were an accident?" he asked coolly. The moment he saw her fall into the water, his heart seemed to stop.
Even though he saw everything clearly, knowing she intentionally fell, he still felt an uncontrollable suffocation.
And when he saw her emerge from the pool, drenched, only then did he feel alive again.
