When only the three members of the Yowell Family were left in the spacious living room, Grace Yowell said, "Dad, Mom, didn’t I tell you before that I met Mabel Quinn? I’m worried she might recognize that Daniel is actually Isaac Zimmerman from back then."
"What?!" Grace’s parents were shocked, and her mother quickly asked, "Then... what should we do? If we really get found out, wouldn’t it be the end for our family?"
"Even if we’re found out, it’s no big deal. Over the years, Daniel has been attentive enough to Grace. Even if it’s discovered that Grace is a fake, with so many years of feelings, it would just mean giving Mabel Quinn a bit more compensation at most," Grace’s father said nonchalantly.
If only it were that simple! Grace Yowell knew that over the years, although Daniel treated her well, it was only because he believed she was the little girl who kept him company back then.
Aside from that, Daniel Harris had never truly fallen in love with her. If the truth were discovered, it’s feared that Daniel wouldn’t have any affection for her anymore.

Seeing this, her parents nodded, although her father still felt his daughter was making a fuss over nothing. Grace’s heart was stirred, "Alright, I will handle things between me and Daniel. You just make sure not to let anything slip." Maybe her father’s words weren’t entirely unreasonable.
The icy rain hit her body, sending shivers through her. How she wished she could just fall asleep , but she knew she couldn’t, because she was another person’s eyes, guiding them in the right direction.
She repeatedly wiped the rain from around her eyes, telling the boy carrying her which way to go.
She didn’t know how long it had been before he finally walked back into the village with her on his back. Seeing the familiar surroundings, she sighed in relief, allowing herself to slip into a deep sleep...
So hot... such discomfort. She vaguely felt a voice by her ear, saying something to her... the voice seemed like it was the voice of her older brother.
But what exactly was he saying? She tried hard to listen carefully, to open her eyes... yet the voice seemed to be fading further away.
No! She hadn’t heard it clearly yet!
"Ah!" Mabel Quinn suddenly opened her eyes, sitting up from the bed. Around her, there was only darkness.
"What’s wrong? Had a nightmare?" a voice sounded beside her. Next, the light came on, filling the room with a gentle glow, and Kyle Kinston’s hand wrapped around Mabel Quinn’s hand.
