It was a video, posted by someone using a strange name, but the content showed her mother, Evelina, ranting on camera about her being heartless, sending her own brother to jail, and not returning home after climbing up the social ladder, calling her a thankless wolf.
This video was released after Grace Yowell injured her hand. Mabel Quinn reckoned that Grace was probably involved somehow, otherwise, it wouldn’t be such a coincidence.
As for her mother, she thought that when her mother, Evelina, had asked her for millions, her image had already shattered in Mabel’s heart. But watching this video, she couldn’t deny that her heart still felt a twinge of pain.
If her father were still alive, she wondered how he would feel witnessing this scene.

His smile was so assured and confident, making her feel as if, with him around, she had nothing to worry about.
Mabel Quinn leaned her head on Kyle Kinston’s shoulder. His shoulder was broad, slightly firm to lean on, yet it felt very secure. "I never thought my mom would let herself be filmed like that. Sometimes I wonder, why can’t she give me a bit of love? If she could give me even a tenth of what she gave my dad, maybe things wouldn’t have come to this."
"Don’t think too much. A person like that doesn’t deserve to be your mother," he said.
She sighed softly, "Fortunately, I have you by my side. Otherwise, it would have been much harder for me. Kyle, sometimes I think, we really are quite alike." Both of them weren’t loved by their mothers, both without familial warmth.

"Yes, quite alike," Kyle Kinston murmured, gently brushing aside Mabel Quinn’s bangs with his fingers, "So from now on, the love you need, I’ll give to you, and the love I need, you will give me, right?"
She turned her head slightly to look at him, then held his hand in return, "Of course, I will. And I’ll keep on loving you forever!"
Mabel Quinn didn’t expect Kyle Kinston to have the Driver bring the car to Gingko Plaza. When she got out of the car, she couldn’t help but look at Kyle Kinston in confusion.
Kyle Kinston gave a slight smile, "Since we have time today, why not finish what you wanted to do last night?"
Mabel Quinn paused, hearing him continue, "Didn’t you write quite a detailed schedule in your little notebook for last night?"
"What? You knew?" She was startled.
"Watching you search online and scribble in your notebook, I could guess the gist of it," he said.
Her cheeks flushed, alright, she did plan quite a full schedule for last night, only for it to be completely disrupted by that crazy fan.
He bent down and whispered in her ear, "What were the plans you had in mind for last night?"
