"Thank you," Daniel Harris said, "and thank you for coming up the mountain to find me that day. It was there, on that mountain, that I decided to properly treat my eyes. Since there’s a possibility I could see again, I shouldn’t give up, right?"
As he spoke, he walked up to her, suddenly bending down, his whole face zooming in front of her as if magnified. "Mabel Quinn, you once said my eyes were beautiful. Do you still find them beautiful now?"
But before she could answer him, her vision went dark as a large hand covered her eyes, and Kyle Kinston’s voice came from beside her, "Mr. Harris, long time no see. It seems the surgery was a success; you can see again now."
"Yes, I can see now. I haven’t thanked you, Mr. Kinston. If it weren’t for you bringing in Doctor Judd, the success rate wouldn’t have been so high. Otherwise, whether I could see again would still be unknown," Daniel Harris replied, glancing at Kyle Kinston’s hand, which was still covering Mabel Quinn’s eyes with no intention of letting go.
"Kyle, would you take your hand down," Mabel Quinn called out.

"True, the past is the past. The future is what’s most important," Daniel Harris replied with a faint smile, his gaze falling back on Mabel Quinn’s face, his eyes showing a hint of gentleness and nostalgia. Then he added, "Well, I have things to do, so I’ll leave now."

Meanwhile, Alice Conley watched this scene, resembling a confrontation between love rivals, and didn’t dare take a breath. The aura of these two men was so strong, even the slightest mistake and one might be instantly reduced to dust!
So, sometimes, one-on-one is just right, but accidentally one-on-two, especially if both are powerful and influential, becomes incredibly troublesome.
Alice Conley turned to look at Dorian Howards standing beside her. Forget it, she already found one troublesome enough. If she had another like Dorian Howards, it would be questionable if she could even survive.
