Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree Chapter 360

Chapter 569: Chapter 496: Don’t Kill Me! I Surrender! (Part 3)

However, the hunting team had been gone for too long…

“Could it be that Andris has claimed the Golden Dragon for himself?”

Sharu muttered to himself.

*It was possible, after all, the value of the Golden Dragon was immense, and although he had sent out far more people than the mercenaries, Andris was a Silver Professional!*

*He didn’t trust the integrity of humans.*

*Thinking about this, Sharu became increasingly uneasy.*

But just at that moment, he suddenly heard a clamor coming from outside the tent.

The noises were chaotic and disordered, faintly accompanied by the sounds of explosions, screams, and shouts. There seemed to be the metallic sound of swords clashing as well.

“What’s going on? An attack?”

Sharu was stunned, his expression turning serious.

At that moment, the tent was suddenly pushed open, and an injured Half-Beast stumbled in, panic-stricken, and said,

“Lord Sharu, it’s bad! The elves are attacking! The elves are attacking!”

The elves are attacking?

Sharu was dumbfounded, doubting his own ears.

But seeing the look of terror on the other’s face, his heart couldn’t help but skip a beat.

In that instant, he suddenly thought of Andris and the others who had long been out of contact…

“No… it couldn’t be.”

He swallowed hard, hastily grabbing his magic wand converted from a Wolf Fang Club, and headed for the outside of the tent.

But just as he was about to step out, as if remembering something, he quickly dismissed the reporting Half-Beast, then returned to the place where he hid his gold coins, stuffed the concealed coins into his robe, and once again headed outside.

When Sharu stepped outside the tent, the scene before him left him utterly speechless.

But at this moment, the Half-Beast Tribe was exceptionally bright.

Yet, what illuminated everything was not something ordinary, but flames.

Tents and straw huts ignited by fireballs.

The buildings, already dry from autumn, now flared up like tinder meeting fire, suddenly burning, illuminating half the sky; the entire tribe was plunged into chaos.

Elves riding various Demon Beasts charged in, howling, engaging in battle with the Half-Beasts in the tribe.

No, it couldn’t be called a battle.

It was a one-sided massacre.

The elves wielded strange metal tubes, shooting tongues of fire at the Half-orc warriors, who fell one after another amid screams of agony.

From time to time, Sharu could hear the elves arguing:

“Damn it! Don’t kill them all!”

“Tch, what’s the rush? There are over a thousand Half-Beasts!”

“Elves… they’re really elves! And they’re the Evil Elves of the Elf Forest!”

Seeing the elves’ equipment as magnificent as legends described, Sharu couldn’t help but exclaim.

He couldn’t discern how many elves there were, only feeling that there seemed to be fighting everywhere, surrounded by enemies in all directions.

The air was filled with the charred scent of straw buildings and a strong stench of blood.

Undoubtedly, this was a premeditated ambush.

And a rather successful one.

Looking at the tribe in utter chaos, Sharu’s mind went blank.

As he hesitated between rallying his tribe for a counterattack or sneaking off, the elves noticed him.

There was no way around it, a Silver Professional stood out like a bright light in the dark, making him conspicuous to the players.

Upon discovering Sharu, this unexpectedly emerging Silver Professional, and realizing he was a highly experienced priest, a bunch of players’ eyes lit up, rushing over with a sinister smile, wielding their weapons…

*Feeling the immense threat to his life, Sharu’s expression changed drastically, turning pale.*

He almost instinctively raised his Wolf-toothed Mace to protect his head, shouting loudly,

“Don’t kill me! I surrender!”

Yet, as soon as he uttered these words, he immediately regretted it…

Because he suddenly remembered that the Half-Beasts who escaped back from the Elf Forest had said those evil elves never accepted surrender…

Rather than giving in, his best course of action should have been to turn and run or call his tribe to fight.

But in just a moment’s time, Sharu missed his best chance, surrounded by several elves.

*He felt a cold despair in his heart.*

Yet, to his surprise and slight relief, the elves’ weapons did not descend upon him…

Sharu, in fright, let out an involuntary hiccup.

“Drop your weapon, crouch down with your hands over your head!”

The elves pointed their weapons at him and commanded.

Without hesitation, Sharu dropped his Wolf-toothed Mace to the ground.
