“Your actions are hilarious. The shades don’t suit you at all. It’s so unbecoming — like a kid trying on adult clothes. You should just sit there quietly and return them to me.” Yin Shaojie waited till she was preoccupied before snatching them back with one long arm.
He donned his shades in one nimble motion — a dashing gesture.
Mu Xiaoxiao stared in awe.
“What’s wrong?” Yin Shaojie noticed that she was behaving weirdly and turned to look at her.
Mu Xiaoxiao averted her gaze quickly. “It’s nothing. How long will it take to reach your family house from here? Is it far?” she asked in an effort to distract him.
There was a quick change in topic.
Yin Shaojie did not comprehend the situation, but perhaps he was accustomed to the eccentric moods of girls, for he did not venture to guess it. “It’s not very far; about half an hour’s ride,” he answered.
