"Where is she?"
"She is still in the Enforcer’s cabin, sir."
Alpha Soier banged his hand hard against the table as he heard this, his face turning redder with fury burning through him. "How did she escape? I told you to keep her locked inside the isolated cabin during the Prince’s stay here. Why then did you let her escape? What were you doing? Do you want to die?"
The beta standing there, winced at the sound of his Alpha’s voice even as his shoulders stiffened under the weight of Soier’s rage. He looked away and spoke in a low tone, "Sir, it was Master Alec’s order..."
A sharp silence followed at this revelation and the beta stared at his superior, wondering what he woudl do next. A sudden crash had him almost jump as Alpha Soier kicked at the table with force, his expression cold and unreadable. "Bring him here," he said without emotion. The Beta gulped in fear but quickly raced out of the office, thankful that he was not being blamed for this.
Not long after, Master Aleck was brought into the library. He walked in casually, his face carrying no trace of remorse. Alec had already grown used to his father overlooking his behaviour. Even now, with his father’s anger evident, he shrugged as though it was no big deal.
"Father! I know you’re angry. But all I wanted to do was play with her. Come on. Don’t be like this... It is not the first time that..."
"Smack!"
The loud sound echoed through the room like a gunshot. Alec barely registered it before the force of the slap knocked him sideways. He stumbled and crashed to the floor, stunned at his father’s action. One hand went to his burning cheek, as his mind scrambled to catch up that his father had really hit him because of that Omega bi*ch!
Before he could recover however, his father was already standing over him. Alpha Soier’s eyes were blazing, his chest rising and falling with barely contained rage. "You bastard! Who gave you the right to override my orders? Do you think you’re already the Alpha? Do you want to challenge me for my position?"
Alec’s throat went dry as he looked up at his father. A cold shiver ran down his spine. He had always acted bold, arrogant, but that moment broke something inside him. His father wasn’t just angry- he was dangerous. Even though Alec wanted to ascend to the Alpha position, he dare not say it out loud. His father was a ruthless man... and might kill him even before he ascended...
"Father! I dare not covet your position. I am loyal only to you. I swear it. I just... you know I’ve always wanted to play with that Omega... But that old witch was always around to protect her. This time, she’s gone for a few days. We just wanted to have some fun with her..."
"Fun? You call that fun?" Soier’s voice rose. "I told you to wait the last time you tried to have your way with her, didn’t I? I promised you that you could break her! But you had no patience! ANd now because of your selfish desires, she is now in Prince Zen’s hands!"
Alec slowly lifted himself from the ground, still confused at his father’s words. He looked up at his father. "So what, Father? Even if she is used by the Prince, she’s just an Omega. Why are you so worried about her? Also, the royal family is upstanding, he won’t really violate her, will he?"
"Smack!"
Another slap, louder and more brutal than the last, rang through the air. Alec’s head snapped to the side, and he fell back with a grunt, lips parting in shock as pain bloomed across his jaw.
"Because she is not just an Ome..." Alpha Soier stopped suddenly. His jaw locked tight, and for a moment he said nothing. The words were right there, but he couldn’t let them out. He had almost said too much.
He turned and kicked Alec again, not with full force, but hard enough to send a clear message. Alec let out a quiet grunt but didn’t move further.
"Next time, you stay away from her. If I find you anywhere near her again, you will regret it. That’s not a threat. That’s a promise."
Alec remained on the ground, his lips pressed into a thin, tight line. His father, who had always pampered him had actually hit him because of that bi*ch Omega! He would teach her a lesson... soon.
