Entertainment: Starting as a Succubus, Taking Hollywood by Storm Chapter 423

Martin pressed a finger to Sarah's lips.

Sarah immediately quieted down, then, like a startled kitten, let go of whatever she had been holding onto.

Her face flushed red as she stammered, "S-s-sorry! I-I-I didn't know, I didn't know you two were—were—"

Kate's face was also bright red. Getting caught in the act by her best friend was beyond awkward!

At this moment, the best solution was obvious—bring her into it!

The atmosphere in the bedroom began to shift...

When Rachel woke up, there was no one around her.

The girl called out nervously.

After all, she was just a little girl. Waking up alone in an unfamiliar environment was naturally frightening.

"Sweetie, you're awake. Come downstairs for breakfast!"

Sarah walked in, smiling.

"Oh, Mom, you scared me! I thought you'd left!"

"Silly girl, how could I leave you? Go wash up. You have to go back to the set this afternoon!"

Rachel jumped out of bed, her little feet bare, and was about to head to the bathroom when she suddenly stopped, staring at Sarah in surprise.

"Mom, you must have slept really well last night. You look radiant today, and your skin looks even softer than before."

Sarah's face turned red again. "Yes, yes, I did sleep well last night. Go wash up. I'll head downstairs and wait for you with Auntie Kate in the dining room."

"Oh, Auntie Kate's here too? Wait, I almost forgot—this is her house. By the way, Mom, I remember Martin brought us back last night. Is he still here?"

Sarah's face flushed once more. "Martin... Martin left after dropping us off last night."

"Oh, that's too bad. I missed the chance to have breakfast with my idol."

Rachel shrugged regretfully.

When they went downstairs, the blush on Sarah's face still hadn't faded.

Kate eyed her suspiciously. "Sarah, you didn't spill anything, did you?"

Sarah touched her cheek and sighed. "No, yesterday was a mistake. I'm a married woman. Kate, you can't tell anyone."

Kate laughed. "Of course not. This is our secret."

Then she suddenly asked, "Martin gave you his number last night. Did you save it?"

"N-no, I didn't. I'm not planning to see him again."

"Alright, suit yourself."

Kate didn't call out her friend's obvious lie.

Martin returned to his Beverly Hills mansion in high spirits, greeted enthusiastically by the three girls.

Lindsay clung to Martin, laughing. "Haha, Daddy Martin, you're finally back! I caught you!"

Dorothy, on the other hand, walked up to Martin with a serious expression and began discussing the fitness chain business with him.

This girl clearly had the potential to be a "strong woman."

Jessica waved a small notebook excitedly. "Martin, I got another script!"

Martin thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of beautiful girls chattering around him.

He first lifted Lindsay with one hand, carrying her on his back.

Then, he quickly gave Dorothy a few suggestions about the fitness chain.

Finally, he took the script from Jessica with one hand.

He glanced at the cover.

Martin remembered this movie from his past life. It was a typical "sweet girl" film, with a budget of 18 million and a box office of 30 million dollar—hardly making a splash.

To be honest, Jessica Alba's resources in the original timeline weren't great. Despite her stunning looks, most of her movies were mediocre.

It just showed how brutal the competition was in Hollywood. If you weren't aggressive enough, it was hard to stand out.

Martin sat down on the couch.

Lindsay still clung tightly to his back, refusing to get down.

Dorothy and Jessica sat on either side of him.

Surrounded by the sweet scent of the girls, Martin leaned back comfortably against Lindsay and began flipping through the script.

"The beautiful girl Honey has loved dancing since she was a child. She dreams of showcasing her talent to more people... To pursue her dream, Honey leaves home and moves to the city, where the streets are filled with music and courage. Many young people take to the streets to sing and dance boldly. Honey is captivated by this passionate environment and longs to lead these young people to even greater heights..."

It was indeed the same Honey from the original timeline.

Martin lost interest halfway through and tossed the script aside, saying to Jessica:

"The script is too ordinary, and the story is cliché. Don't take it. I've already prepared a better script for you."

Martin pulled out his laptop from his bag, placed it on his lap, and opened it. He clicked on a folder named "Scripts," revealing a dense list of subfolders.

He moved the cursor to a folder titled High School Musical and opened it.

"This is a teen musical. I want you to play the female lead. The male lead will be Wentworth Miller."

The three girls leaned in to look at the screen.

Martin stood up, placed the laptop on the table, and gently set Lindsay down. "Alright, you guys can read it here. I'm going for a swim."

The three girls gathered around the table, chattering excitedly.

"Wow, it's about playing a high school student. Jessica, can you pull it off? Maybe I should do it—I'm still in high school," Lindsay joked.

"Dream on. I'm young and vibrant—what's wrong with me playing a high school student? By the way, Martin mentioned Wentworth Miller. Didn't he work with you in Mean Girls? What's he like? I mean, his acting!"

"He's tall and handsome, which fits the role of Troy, the basketball team captain. His acting is good, and he's a nice guy."

To be honest, Zac Efron, who played Troy in the original High School Musical, was decent-looking but short and skinny (5'8" and 154 lbs). He didn't exactly look like a high school basketball team captain.

Seeing him as the team's star player always felt a bit off!

Wentworth Miller, with his tall and strong build, was a much better fit.

When Martin returned from his swim, the girls were still discussing the script at the computer. Seeing him approach, Lindsay said, "Martin, this script is so fun. Can I make a cameo?"

"You might not have time. Mean Girls is about to premiere, and you'll need to go on the promotional tour."

"Don't complain. This is your first leading role. You don't want it to flop, do you?"

Seeing Lindsay pout, Martin knew exactly what she was thinking and immediately shut down her unrealistic idea.
