"Sacrificing attack power for increased speed, huh? These demons sure have a variety of mutations," Du You mused. If it was a regular level 15 Blade Demon, he would have a bit of a struggle, but it wouldn’t be too difficult. However, this one left him no chance to take the initiative.
The phrase "speed is invincible" hit home for Du You in this situation. He felt helpless against this speed-specialised opponent.
But relying only on his Shield Spell wasn’t an option.
What about the Mucus Swamp? He dismissed the idea. The Mucus Swamp was merely a level 10 skill—it wouldn’t have much effect against a high-level demon. After all, this creature lived near the Demon Swamp and was very familiar with marshy terrain.
In fact, using the Mucus Swamp might even hinder him more than the demon.

The Blade Demon in front of him was a perfect example—even though it had undergone a fearsome mutation, it behaved like a wild beast. Otherwise, a demon wouldn’t willingly stay in a place so scarce of resources.
The demons that remain here are either incredibly strong or have a significant flaw in their intelligence.
"In that case, maybe we could lure it," Lin Yucha proposed, glancing at Xiaozi flying above.
Xiaozi, picking up on the malicious intent, squawked in protest. But Du You halted Xiaozi’s attack. Given the Thunder Light Orb’s speed, it might not even hit the mutated Blade Demon.
The Lightning Ball was fast, but it still took time to launch. The Blade Demon could easily dodge in that moment.
A direct assault probably wouldn’t work, but what about other means? Like the dreaded poison snipe.
With that thought, Du You quickly said, "I do have something. You can use it as a target." He waved his hand, revealing his White Tiger Amulet.

Du You flicked his hand, activating the amulet. Suddenly, two white tigers were summoned. One materialized inside the barrier and the other outside, right on Lin Yucha’s trajectory.
As the white tigers rapidly appeared, Lin Yucha eyed the shadowy figure. Suddenly, it vanished. Almost reflexively, she released her arrow. The arrow turned into a fleeting black light.
Almost simultaneously, the arrow hit one of the white tigers, which didn’t resist at all, letting the arrow pierce its body. At the same moment, the Blade Demon appeared next to the white tiger, obviously considering it prey.
Its razor-sharp blades plunged into the white tiger’s body, killing it instantly, and the demon prepared to leave with its prey. Unfortunately, it was already too late.
The arrow shot through the white tiger and hit the Blade Demon. The demon was taken aback, as was Lin Yucha. If she had hesitated even a moment, the arrow wouldn’t have hit.
Yet, while attacking its prey, the Blade Demon’s blades were caught in the flesh of the tiger, leaving it unable to dodge the simultaneously arriving attack. Even the typically agile Blade Demon was caught off guard. Amplified by 30% by the Demon Extermination Power, the already formidable poison snipe attack was even more terrifying.
The demon’s defensive shell stood no chance, easily torn apart by the arrow.
The arrow burrowed a little into the Blade Demon’s body before it vanished and reappeared in the deep forest. The arrow hadn’t inflicted significant harm, but it didn’t matter—it had hit its mark.
As long as a hit was landed, the Demon Extermination Power would become a deadly poison. The Blade Demon, which did not have any extraordinary poison resistance, was affected by it.
This poison, derived from the Demon Extermination Power, was a direct counter to demons. When the Blade Demon stopped, it stumbled. The poison spread rapidly, and in a matter of seconds, the Blade Demon collapsed.
Just by looking at the creature, it was clear death wasn’t far away.

As for a creature with such incredible speed, nobody—not only Du You—would have an effective plan.
After all, adopting such a horrific speed wasn’t something an average person could achieve—especially for a Professional whose skills were constrained by their own tier.
