Bai Yiran woke up, her eyes opening to find herself lying against Leng Yichen’s chest, his firm muscles rising and falling with each breath. His arm was wrapped around her waist as he slept soundly.
The room was very dark; Bai Yiran looked up at the window to estimate the time.
Her body was somewhat sore from Leng Yichen’s exertions, and maintaining the position in his embrace for a long time had left her half-paralyzed.
Bai Yiran gently removed Leng Yichen’s arm from her waist. He seemed to sense her movement and mumbled softly. Bai Yiran thought he had awakened and looked at him nervously.
Leng Yichen turned over and continued sleeping.
Bai Yiran let out a relieved sigh, quietly got out of bed, fetched a bathrobe from the bathroom, and wrapped it around herself, walking barefoot out of the bedroom.
Her bag was still left at the villa’s entrance, brought back from the company by Wang Hai at Bai Yiran’s request in the afternoon.
Bai Yiran softly picked up the bag and walked to the kitchen, poured herself a glass of water, and gently unzipped the bag to search for something inside.
Her movements were light, trying her best not to wake Leng Yichen.
After a few searches, Bai Yiran took out a box of medication, extracted a pill, placed it in her mouth, and swallowed it with water.
"Are you sick?" Leng Yichen’s voice sounded from behind Bai Yiran.
Startled, Bai Yiran turned around hurriedly, hiding the medication behind her back. "Um... it’s nothing... just a headache, just taking some painkillers..."

"I..." Caught in the act, Bai Yiran felt guilty but stated honestly, "I’m still young, I don’t want to get pregnant this early!"
The last time Leng Yichen talked about trying hard to have a child, Bai Yiran realized the issue. She wasn’t mentally prepared to nurture a small life. Her own maturity wasn’t there yet, so how could she be a mother?
But Leng Yichen was different. He was almost thirty. Since he married Bai Yiran, having children was a matter of course.
