"Oh really! You’re not what you appear to be either!" With that, Bai Yiran turned and got into a taxi, telling the driver her grandmother’s address.
On the way, Bai Yiran’s phone kept ringing. They were all calls from Leng Yichen, but she rejected them all.
The taxi driver glanced at the rearview mirror and said to Bai Yiran, "Young lady, there’s a Maybach following us."
Bai Yiran turned around; it was Leng Yichen’s car. Just then, his call came in again, and she picked it up. On the other end, Leng Yichen’s slightly anxious voice came through, "Girl, stop this. Let’s go home and talk, okay?"
"I don’t want to go back now, nor do I want to see you. I need to think this over. I feel like our decision to get married might have been too hasty. Our worlds are different, everything is different."
"What do you mean?" Leng Yichen’s voice turned cold.
"I mean, I need to really consider our marriage, that’s it! Don’t call me again! And stop following me!"
Bai Yiran hung up the phone, and when she looked back, Leng Yichen’s car had already pulled over to the side of the road and was no longer following her.
Turning around, Bai Yiran just felt so exhausted, she just wanted to go home and sleep, without thinking about anything.
When Cheng Shishi saw Bai Yiran standing outside the door, she was quite surprised.
"Sister! How come you’re back?"
"Am I not allowed to come back?" Bai Yiran snapped, glaring at Cheng Shishi as she sat on the sofa in the living room.
"Weren’t you with brother-in-law..."
Bai Yiran covered Cheng Shishi’s mouth and glared at her fiercely, "Keep your voice down, or grandma will hear!"
Cheng Shishi blinked her big eyes and nodded. Bai Yiran lowered her hand, and Cheng Shishi spoke softly, "Aren’t you supposed to be with brother-in-law? Why are you back?"
"Don’t ask, I’m too tired to explain..."
In Bai Yiran’s eyes, Cheng Shishi was still just a kid, so she tried to avoid telling her about any bad things.

"Yes! I’ll go heat it up for you." Grandma said with a cheerful smile as she walked into the kitchen.
"Thank you, Grandma!" Bai Yiran followed her into the kitchen, not forgetting to give Cheng Shishi a warning glare.
Leng Yichen’s office was on the top floor of the entire Huamei Building, where the sunlight streamed directly through the bright floor-to-ceiling windows. From here, one could overlook the entire city’s scenery, which also represented Leng Yichen’s irreplaceable status.
