After getting back into her car, Jiang Ning rested one hand on the steering wheel while she turned her head to stare at Qi Xingzhou in the passenger seat.
She tilted her head, her manner of looking at someone candid and unabashed.
Qi Xingzhou’s thick eyelashes trembled for a few moments before he raised his eyes to meet Jiang Ning’s gaze, looking completely innocent and harmless, letting her watch him without a word.
Jiang Ning kept silent, and he didn’t ask what she was looking at either.
Looking at his clueless and dazed appearance, one could tell he hadn’t fully recovered.
But Jiang Ning wasn’t disheartened, she would take it slow.
By the time the two of them returned to the city center, it was already near lunchtime, so Jiang Ning simply drove Qi Xingzhou out to eat.
Their tastes were similar and they hit it off immediately, heading to a nearby Gu Su restaurant.
Jiang Ning had wanted a private room at first, but seeing as it was the lunchtime rush and the restaurant was packed with diners, the waiter said the only private room left had been reserved already.
"Then let’s just sit in the main dining area," Jiang Ning said, after looking around. She and Qi Xingzhou walked to a seat by the window and sat down.
Although the restaurant was busy, the serving speed was not slow.
After Jiang Ning and Qi Xingzhou ordered, the steaming hot dishes were served by the waiter shortly after.
Considering the amount of activity they had done that morning, not to mention the two trips up the mountain, Jiang Ning was already quite hungry.
As soon as the dishes were served, she hurriedly ushered Qi Xingzhou to start eating.
Qi Xingzhou also seemed quite hungry, appearing to eat elegantly and soundlessly, but the speed at which he picked up dishes was just as fast as Jiang Ning’s.

Jiang Ning paused in her eating and looked up.
There, standing in the aisle, was a young and fair-skinned woman who seemed to be about the same age as Jiang Ning.
After Jiang Ning looked up, the woman got a good view of Jiang Ning’s full face.
The hesitant look on her face instantly turned to one of delight, "It really is you!"
As she made out Jiang Ning’s features, Jiang Ning also recognized her, her former university classmate, Du Chuyun.
Putting down her chopsticks, Jiang Ning replied with a smile, "Du Chuyun, long time no see."
Seeing that not only did Jiang Ning remember her but also called out her name correctly, Du Chuyun’s smile grew wider, and she eagerly took a seat next to Jiang Ning, "Gosh, what a coincidence! I never imagined I’d run into someone I know just by going out to eat!"
Jiang Ning scooted over to make room, and politely offered, "Would you like to eat something together? I can ask the waiter to add a few dishes."
"No need, no need," Du Chuyun quickly waved her hand, "I just ate inside and was about to leave when I happened to see you. You eat, don’t let me disturb your meal."
She was clearly very happy, her face always carrying a smile.
As Du Chuyun spoke, she suddenly noticed a person sitting across from her, and moreover, he was a young and handsome hunk!
Du Chuyun’s eyes widened as she stared at Qi Xingzhou for several seconds, feeling as though her breath was about to stop.
She had seen plenty of Jiang Ning’s videos online recently and had watched the live variety show that Jiang Ning participated in, so she was understandably aware of Qi Xingzhou’s existence.
Du Chuyun’s excitement lasted several seconds, and her cheeks flushed red.
She hesitated but couldn’t help herself, turning to Jiang Ning and timidly tugging at her clothes, her voice almost squeezing through her teeth, "Oh my, your boyfriend is even more handsome than when I see him on my phone!"
