Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World Chapter 591

Chapter 591: Commotion (Refresh Chapter to Remove duplicate content!)

Michael’s heart bled at the loss. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝⟡𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕥⟡𝕟𝕖𝕥

Fortunately, he still didn’t know the other possible functions of these Law Seeds. If he had, even he wasn’t sure how he would have reacted.

Michael figured that even if these Law Seeds didn’t prove to have much use in the end, it was fine to keep them for Lily. Her Law was truly strange and interesting. It hadn’t revealed any offensive or defensive applications yet, but the simple ability to level up was already astonishing enough.

When he asked why she hadn’t devoured the rest of the Seeds, her answer was simple—she was “full” and still needed to “digest.”

The response left Michael conflicted. He didn’t know whether to be relieved or unsettled.

Still, he forced his thoughts away from that uncertainty and turned to more practical matters.

Now that he knew about the existence of Law Seeds, he immediately harvested those from the three strongest monsters that had attacked him. At the same time, he had his undead drag the rest of the monster corpses from the void into the physical world.

It was only then that Michael discovered another change from his evolution: his storage space had expanded significantly. Normally, storage space only grew with level or rank advancement, not with evolution itself. That this increase had occurred now was rare.

It almost felt that his evolution made not only him feel like he had gone through something similar to a rebirth but everything related to him

It was good news, but even with the new capacity, he could only fit the massive bodies of the three Rank 3 monsters and a few more.

The nearly three dozen other corpses were simply too many.

They would fit into the Damaged Coffin of the Forgotten, but that artifact’s physical form remained in Aurora. There was no way to access it from the Land of Origin—not unless his original body within the coffin space emerged and returned the coffin back into its soul-bound state.

At the moment, however, his original body was seated within that very space, quietly adapting and learning about the changes brought by his new evolution.

Which left Michael here, in the Land of Origin, cleaning up the aftermath. He coordinated his undead as they stripped the battlefield, stacking corpses and gathering resources while also briefing him on everything that had happened during the brief period he had been unable to be with them.

Unknown to Michael, his actions had once again stolen sleep from some of the strongest figures in the kingdom.

Princess Priscilla was the one most affected, though not in ways that could be called beneficial. What she received were not blessings but burdens.

It had first begun two weeks earlier, during Michael’s rank advancement. The evolution of five of his undead into Rank 3 had already rattled her, shaking her composure. Yet that disturbance was nothing compared to the commotion caused by Michael’s own evolution.

It had not started with Michael directly. The commotion was not born from his presence alone, but from the ripple effects he set loose.

The Everlong Forest was infamous for its strangeness. Few dared to enter deeply, and fewer still understood its nature. Its depths were said to contain remnants of ancient battles, buried ruins, and so on. Because of this, the kingdom had tagged it as a place of importance, a “strategic resource,” but even then, not many truly knew what went on inside. The forest swallowed secrets whole.

But no forest, not even Everlong, could conceal the movement of nearly five dozen Rank 3 monsters. Their sudden gathering was too blatant, their pressure too heavy. It rolled across the land in waves that no one with sense could ignore.

That was what had sparked the unrest.

For days, reports had flooded into the capital. Scouts, mercenaries, and adventurers alike brought trembling accounts: the Everlong Forest was stirring.

Creatures of a level they could barely imagine were converging, one after another, drawn to something in its heart.

But the strongest in the kingdom were forced to stand back and watch.

That was the frustration, especially for Princess Priscilla. It was not that she lacked interest—on the contrary, her interest had never been sharper.

No, the problem was that none of them dared get close enough to see what it was that pulled the monsters in.

Because monsters did not behave this way for nothing.

Everyone knew it. Whenever such abnormal gatherings occurred, it was because of a treasure. The world itself scattered blessings, fragments of power, resources born from heaven and earth. And the higher the value, the greater the frenzy of beasts.

That was why so many assumed a treasure was blooming in the depths of Everlong. Something rare, maybe even unprecedented.

And that was why the frustration turned to obsession.

Priscilla, like many others, wanted it desperately. But even she—armed with knowledge, cultivation, and status—did not dare push through when dozens of Rank 3 monsters blocked the way. It was suicide. Even a peak kingdom force would have been torn apart, let alone her alone.

So, they all waited. They watched. And they speculated.

The first day passed with nothing but the roars of monsters. The second day stretched longer, as reports from the outskirts confirmed more and more monsters streaming inward. And then, on the third day, it happened.

At night, when the stars hung high over Everlong, the sky itself seemed to react.

The stars glowed brighter, unnaturally so, like a hundred eyes watching. Then, beams of light descended, spilling across the treetops until they converged on a single point within the forest’s depths.

Something was happening.

From her vantage, Priscilla had felt it. Her heart hammered, her fingers clenched tight against the balcony railing as she stared toward the direction of Everlong.

She had whispered aloud then.

“This isn’t just a treasure…”

Because treasures, no matter how valuable, did not make the stars themselves bow.

A/N: Thanks for reading and sorry for the messed up chapter.
