Ji Wei was eating. Her costume had been changed, and she wore a sleeveless chiffon dress, with a layer of gauze wrapped conspicuously around her wrist. She accidentally bumped it while grabbing something, causing her to let out a hiss of pain and frown tightly at the gauze.
As Tong Xi was pondering, someone suddenly tapped her on the shoulder: "What are you sneaking around here for?"
She turned around, and it was Ji Wei’s assistant, Xiao Liu, who was carrying some fruit. Seeing Tong Xi there, she shot her a displeased glance.
Ji Wei froze, her face immediately turning pale. She instinctively tried to grab a long-sleeved shirt to put on and cover the gauze there.
"Who’s sneaking around?" Tong Xi felt a bit embarrassed about spying on others, but hearing her tone, she immediately got annoyed. She boldly pushed the door open and went in. Seeing Ji Wei covering her injury, she grinned at her wrist: "I’ve seen it all, what’s the use in covering? Seems like I’m not the only one sneaking around, Ji Wei, in such a hurry to cover what?"
Ji Wei was indignant and ashamed: "What are you doing coming in here?"
"Saw our Qingcheng’s top star got hurt, and came out of kindness to check in."
"Really? Came especially?" Ji Wei frowned, displeased: "An empty-handed entrance full of sarcasm, is that what you call checking in?"
"Oh, I forgot if you didn’t mention it." Tong Xi’s eyes darted around, spotting the fruit in the assistant’s hands. Seizing an opportunity, she snatched it and placed it on the table: "A little fruit gift, not much, but it’s something."
Ji Wei, white with anger, shot up to her feet.
"So shameless!" Xiao Liu directly pointed at Tong Xi’s nose and cursed: "Grabbing someone else’s things and claiming to be yours, hahaha, Tong Xi, doing such a thing, can you stoop any lower?"
"It’s just fruit, not like someone going around snatching others’ men, getting all worked up over this? If I were shameless enough to snatch a man, wouldn’t I have even less shame!" Tong Xi raised an eyebrow smugly.
Yes, she did it on purpose, then took the chance to insult Ji Wei.
"Tong Xi, get out!" Ji Wei’s face turned even paler with rage, her chest heaving with anger, and her clenched fist revealed blue veins, her wrist hurting even more from the tension.
Tong Xi steeled herself, gazing at her wrist, she intentionally squinted, observing closely, even reaching out to touch it, causing Ji Wei to flinch in pain, rushing to pull back her hand, but got seized by Tong Xi, who studied the position closely, slightly frowning: "Wrist-cutting suicide?"

Though the sudden intake of breath stung, at least she was out of Tong Xi’s control. It made her feel slightly more secure.
She quickly figured that if Tong Xi went berserk, she’d tear off the gauze, and there, a very distinct mark would be visible, easy to identify as a cut from wrist-cutting.
