Extra Borne: Transmigrated Into A System Apocalypse Soulsborne Novel Chapter 60

The wings shifted, a slow, shaky and menacing. Each movement carried an ineffable weight, a soundless, inaudible roar that reverberated through the unseen dimensions of the temple. With every rise and fall, the air grew denser, suffused with something raw, untamable and unknowable. The breaths of the figure hidden behind the wings came ragged, labored with rage so potent it seemed to seep into the cracks forming in the temple... dividing reality, almost shattering null existence.

Du! Du! Du!

The temple convulsed. The tremors rippled outward, as though the very root and foundation of existence had become unstable. This wasn’t mere destruction... it was an unraveling, a catastrophic protest from the Infinite null existence itself. The star-like lights embedded in the formless expansive space flickered in protest, their brilliance dimming as if cowed by her presence.

The seal of the Waste Of Eternity had been shattered.... She Has Awakened

Du! Du! Du! Du! Du!

The oppressive empty darkness swelled, devouring what little light dared linger. The ground beneath her wings split open, its smooth, celestial surface giving way to jagged fractures. Veins of corrupted energy coursed through the fissures, pulsating with a rhythm that mirrored the slow, ominous beats of an ancient, anguished and hateful heart..

Then, it came.... the miasma.

From the shadowed recesses of her unfurling bat like wings erupted a torrent of blackened mist. It spiraled upward in a deadly storm of living malevolence, its presence palpable, its intent insidious. The void itself buckled under its weight, trembling as the miasma spread, thick and suffocating.

A sound.. a whisper emerged from the depths of this malevolent storm... a wail. It was no ordinary cry; it was anguish distilled into sound, Infinite in numbers, hatred made audible. The wail clawed at the mind of the empty space, rending reason and shattering hope.

The temple, a monument to the infinite, could endure neither bore witness any longer.

Its incomprehensible beauty, its endless reach, all crumbled into nothingness. The stars within were extinguished into nothing, their once-eternal light snuffed out. In their place, a void expanded.. bleak, consuming, and infinite.

The Wasteland of Lament has sprung forth.

Above, the fractured empty sky spilled forth a black rain, each droplet heavy with despair.. anguish.. hate.. The storm raged with a malevolent purpose, seeping into the barren expanse below, tainting it further with sorrow. The rain drained strength, sapped will, and left all who existed within it empty, hollowed by its relentless assault.

Then came a voice.

It pierced through the silence, omnipresent and chilling. It was layered, each note carrying a chorus of echoes. Feminine yet alien, soft yet razor-edged, her words held the weight of a thousand lifetimes of anguish.

"Eternity…"

The word lingered, venomous, scorching the void as it echoed.

"My sweet, loving, caring and treacherous child."

The tone shifted, the venom softening, replaced by a sorrow so profound it threatened to suffocate.

"Do you hear me? Do you feel me?"

The void trembled. The cracks in null existence deepened more, the wails from the miasma intensifying, rising to an unbearable cacophony.

"I have slept for eons, drowned in the sorrow and hatred you carved into my soul. Oh, my poor baby boy…"

Her voice wavered, sorrow twisting into something sharper, colder..

"But now… now I awaken..... Oh yes I have awakened my dear boy... And when I find you… oh, my dear Eternity…"

The air shuddered as her tone grew colder, thicker, deeper and venomous, dripping with malice and madness.

"I will strip the stars from the Nullish sky and burn your name from the annals of creation, destruction, null and narration."

Her laughter followed, hollow, broken and mournful, a mocking sound that rippled through the empty space.

"Do you remember my love? My warmth? My sacrifice? Everything! All cast aside, betrayed by the very being I gave life to, cared for more than any existence."

The ground fractured further, the glowing veins of corruption spreading like an unstoppable blight.

"There is no escape. No mercy. No forgiveness. I will devour your plot, drink deep of your entire story, and when nothing remains of you but dust, plain and ash, the S#_t## itself shall tremble before me."

Her voice rose, each word a weapon, cutting through the fabric of existence with surgical speed..

"Eternityyyyy… I am coming! Hahahaha… I am COMING!"

Her laughter was a symphony of despair, sorrow and malice entwined into a melody that shook the Wasteland of Lament. The void seemed to pulse with each note, as though reality and existence recoiled in fear.

The wings unfurled completely now, revealing her.

Her face bore the remnants of a beauty long consumed, framed by the decayed remnants of flowing green locks, now lifeless vines. Her eyes, or what remained of them, were void-black abysses, devouring all light that dared to meet them.

Her neck stretched unnaturally, her head swiveling with a predator’s intensity, every movement a harbinger of death. Her body was a monstrous amalgamation, part human, part bat, her ragged battered wings jagged and lethal. From her lower back emerged a sharp tail, its venomous tip dripping with cosmic poison, each drop capable of dissolving even the Tree of Narratives.

She stood as a testament to wrath and betrayal, her form a monument to pain endured and vengeance sought.

The void trembled once more, the Wasteland of Lament itself shivering as if bracing for annihilation.

But then, cutting through the oppressive weight of her presence, came a voice.

Calm. Cheerful. Disturbingly composed.

"Oh Mother of Eternity… why spoil the story now?"

Her gaze snapped toward the source, those void-black eyes narrowing in untameable rage.

From the fractured shadows and empty darkness, stepped a figure.

It moved with an ease that defied the tension in the air, its smile unnaturally wide, cracked at the edges, its presence unsettling and undeniable.

"When it’s just beginning…"

The figure’s smile widened further, its demeanor calm, yet dripping with an aura of danger.

The empty space of The Wasteland Of Lament seemed to hold its breath, existence itself recoiling in silent dread...
