Extra Survival Guide to Overpowering Hero and Villain Chapter 7

The teacher, a man in his thirties with only Three-Circle magical prowess, turned to her. At first, he looked ready to curse, but upon seeing who she was, he forced himself to calm down.

"M-Miss Mavis, please, welcome! It was my mistake—I was too focused on teaching and didn't hear the knocking on the door." He forced a nervous smile.

"Were you?" Mavis asked coldly.

A shiver ran down the teacher's spine.

Mavis strode toward him, her gaze sharp.

"You're lucky that the Empress is still controlling this Academy. Otherwise, I would have killed you myself."

The teacher staggered back, his legs giving out, collapsing onto the ground in sheer terror.

Mavis ignored him. She raised her hand, her Spirit Magic surging—a light, yet oppressive force filling the room.

A gust of wind swept across the classroom, brushing past the trembling commoner students as she announced loudly:

"From now on, I'll be watching this class. With my spirits as my eyes, if any of you useless nobles dare to lay a hand on a single commoner in this room... I will destroy your family and your future."

Her voice was calm—but the weight of her words crushed the air.

"As an Archduchess, I can do that easily."

The noble students stiffened, their faces pale. Some gulped audibly, their previous arrogance now replaced with fear.

But Mavis's eyes flicked to one noble student—a boy smirking to himself at the back of the class.

She sighed, shaking her head.

"But I'm sure you worthless creatures will still ignore my warning."

Her gaze locked onto the smirking noble, her smile turning icy.

"Let's see how long that arrogance lasts—after I destroy the family of that brat smirking behind me."

Mavis's voice was calm, yet merciless.

The noble kid stood up abruptly, his face twisting with rage.

"That's absurd! My family is from the House of Marquis! Do you really think you can destroy us as you please, you BITCH?!"

The moment the insult left his mouth, a faint glow flickered in the air.

A magic seal—a contract of words—formed, floating in the space between them.

The noble froze, his face turning pale.

"W-What...?" he stammered.

Mavis smiled—a cold, chilling smile.

"You just saw a magical recorder, you fool."

"Now, you gave me the proof enough to tell the court why I killed you and your family"

She stepped forward, her presence suffocating.

"You just insulted an Archduchess in public. Do you know what that means?"

The noble staggered back, his legs trembling.

Mavis's fingers twitched, and a soft crackling sound filled the air.

Lightning flickered at her fingertips.

"It means instant execution."

She raised her hand, and for a moment, silence filled the room.

The other noble kids gasped, fear gripping their hearts.

Some wanted to speak, to protest, but the moment Mavis's sharp gaze landed on them, their voices died in their throats.

Mavis turned back to the noble brat.

"I wonder... should I burn you alive? Or should I just erase your entire bloodline from existence?"

The noble collapsed to his knees, tears welling up in his eyes.

Mavis didn't even blink as she snapped her fingers, igniting the noble brat in blue flames. His screams echoed through the classroom, but she didn't flinch—if anything, a twisted sense of satisfaction curled in her chest.

She had suffered too much at the hands of these so-called "noble elites." Now, seeing one burn alive—it was... pleasant.

Mavis smirked as the other noble kids paled, some even peeing themselves in fear.

"This boy's family is next. I'm sure you'll all hear the news by tomorrow," she said casually, as if discussing the weather.

The burning noble's body collapsed into ash, and silence filled the room.

Then, her gaze shifted—toward a certain girl.

The timid brown-haired girl froze under Mavis's stare, then suddenly burst into tears.

'Oops, scared the poor thing...' Mavis thought, watching Elaine cry uncontrollably.

She sighed, then softened her tone.

"Ahem. Don't worry," she said. "You can have power like me."

Elaine blinked through her tears, confused.

"D-Do you... mean...?"

"Yes. You have talent. And I want you as my student."

Gasps erupted in the room. A noble girl stood up abruptly, her voice laced with jealousy.

"T-That's insane! She's just a commoner! How could she be your student?!"

Mavis turned to her, eyes glowing with cold amusement.

"Oh? Do you want your family to be executed too?"

The noble girl gasped, staggering back in terror.

Mavis turned back to Elaine, giving her a knowing smirk.

"So, what's your answer? Do you accept?"

Elaine, still shaking, hesitated for a moment. But then, she slowly nodded.

Mavis's smirk widened.

"Good. Then from today onward—you are my disciple."

"Let's go, then. I don't want to spend another second here," Mavis said, stepping forward.

Elaine hesitated, looking up at her. "Do you really mean it? Will you truly protect the commoner students?" she asked, not moving a step.

Mavis turned to her. "Is this your desire?"

Elaine clenched her small fists. "I-I mean... we suffer so much. The teachers ignore us. We're treated like pests. Nobles look down on us and order us like slaves. Do you really mean it?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Mavis smiled, her expression firm. "Yes. If it helps you study properly under me, then I will become the Headmistress and bring order to this Academy."

After fifty years of searching, she had finally found a disciple. There was no way in hell she would ignore her disciple very first request.

Elaine's eyes shone with newfound determination. "Then, yes! I will be your student! I will follow you, Teacher!" she declared.

" and even surpass you" she said with burning determination in her eyes.

Mavis grinned, fire igniting in her eyes. 'Hehe. I've finally found a true successor.'

She turned away, her voice filled with quiet resolve. "Alright, then. I already have everything planned. I'll report this to the court and have myself appointed as Headmistress of this Academy."

" I have enough proof to show how much corrupt this academy have become anyway" she added shrugging.

Elaine nodded eagerly.

Just then, a voice interrupted them.

"Oh, but first, you'll have to get past us, Lady Mavis."

Mavis looked up to see three figures blocking the path—two men and one woman.

"Dark Empress dogs sent to stop me?" she muttered, narrowing her eyes.

Their magic surged, but Mavis remained unfazed.

"No, no, how could we possibly do that?" said a red-haired man with a chuckle.

He stood like a giant, towering over the others. This was Count Malfos, also known as the Red Martial King, a powerhouse at the Super Human level.

In Eldoris, the human power system was structured as follows:

Supremes (the pinnacle of power)

Mavis eyed Malfos with mild interest, but there was no trace of fear in her gaze. After all, she was at the Sun Level—a realm far beyond his.

Only two people knew the true extent of her power. One was her master, and the other was the Emperor.

To the world, she was merely the Librarian of the Royal Library, an ordinary mage with a sharp tongue and a neutral stance. But in reality, she was Mavis Belfrost, the future Witch of White Flames, a force that no can deny.
