Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades Chapter 555

"Is it safe to establish this connection? If I let them scan me, wouldn't they get all information about me?"

"Oh, you are worried about the information leak," Yelath nodded, knowing what he was thinking. "Don't worry. That won't happen. Universal Codex System is under Cole Calloway's protection, and it is impartial."

Neo still didn't move, which made Yelath sigh.

"Look, this is the best option for now.

"I bet your Akashic Record can't display your status screen anymore. After all, you are far too stronger than it.

"So, if you want to keep a track of your growth, you need a status screen, which is Universal Codex System."

Neo's status screen right now showed him garbled text (@@!#%@##$).

If he wanted a status screen again, Universal Codex System was his only choice.

"Just do it already."

"No," Neo shook his head. "I don't want to leave a single chance of leaking my information."

"Do as you wish." Yelath sighed, then said sarcastically, "Maybe you should create your own status screen."

Since he was done with most things, he could leave solar system after completing one last task.

He floated towards Earth and started touching Sky Barrier.

[Sky Barrier (Rank: Stage 3, Mastery: Supreme) +0.01%]

Neo was a bit surprised to see the Sky Barrier was a Stage-3 Spell.

It made sense, since if it was weaker it wouldn't have been able to stop the Outer Gods, but it confused Neo as to where the Spell had come from.

Of course, the Outer Gods still could've broken the Sky Barrier. They had several hundred years to do that.

The reason they didn't was because they wanted to know who and what killed Yaleth before they invaded Earth with full force.

After all, Yaleth was stronger than them, and if someone could kill Yaleth, he could kill them too.

[Sky Barrier (Rank: Stage 3, Mastery: Supreme…)]

[Sky Barrier (Rank: Stage 3…)]

Yelath stared in disbelief at Neo.

He wanted to ask why he was touching the Sky Barrier… inappropriately.

His mind told him to not piss off Neo by asking his question, but he lost against his curiosity in the end.

"Are you sexually attracted to—"

Neo used Deep Silence Divinity to shut up Yelath.

He almost wanted to blast the Outer God off. The bastard earlier had asked him if he was attracted to a genderless body as he made Yaleth like that, but now?

He was going to ask if Neo was attracted to non-living things!

Fuck, he was doing this to copy the Spell and nothing else!

Calming his anger, Neo continued his actions while Yelath stared at him with a judgmental gaze.

Finally, a message popped up after several dozen minutes.

[Sky Barrier (Rank: Stage 3, Mastery: Supreme) total: 100%]

He used the Spell to create a Sky Barrier around the solar system.

It was far more robust than the one created by Kronos thanks to the World Energy.

Compared to Kronos, Neo's soul and Consciousness was far more powerful, so he only had to put a small part of his soul and Consciousness inside the Spell to make it work.

The Consciousness—and the Intent—inside the Spell was similar to how Thanatos worked.

Since they were both Neo's Intent, they could create World Energy (until they exhausted the Intent) and tap into Neo's Cosmos.

Thus, if anyone invaded the solar system, Neo would be immediately alerted by the part of Consciousness he left inside the Sky Barrier.

He would then instantly return.

"Let's go. The teleporters are on Jupiter."

Without wasting another moment, he and Yelath stepped forward.

The space around them blurred, and they appeared high in Jupiter's swirling skies.

The storm clouds raged beneath them.

"There," Yelath pointed.

A structure floated just above the dense atmosphere—a station hidden among the storms, protected by ancient spatial magic.

Its surface was cracked and battered from the pressure of the gas giant, but it was still functional.

With a flicker of energy, he and Yelath appeared inside.

The teleportation station hummed to life.

Yelath activated the teleporter with familiar ease, setting the coordinates to his home planet, and a circle of light spread out on the floor.

Neo stood still, arms folded, watching the process with little interest. In less than a second, the portal opened.

They stepped through.

When they reappeared, the change was stark.

They now stood on a planet far larger than the solar system.

The sky overhead was dark, almost black, even though the sun was visible in the distance.

The land beneath their feet was cracked and broken, like a shattered mirror.

Deep fissures cut through the plains.

Mountains leaned at odd angles, and rivers of black ash wound through valleys like dying veins.

A world that was alive only in name.

Neo narrowed his eyes slightly, but said nothing.

Yelath walked forward a few steps, his boots crunching against the dry, brittle ground.

He looked around with a bitter expression.

"This planet…" Yelath muttered. "It's nearly dead because I used the Void element. I didn't want to do it. I had no choice when the Outer Gods—"

"I didn't ask for an explanation," Neo interrupted, waving his hand dismissively.

Times like these would make Yelath remember that they were not friends.

Yelath closed his mouth, swallowing the rest of his words.

"Just bring me to the location of your [Mind]," Neo said.

Yelath nodded silently and started walking. Neo followed behind him without a word.

They moved across the barren landscape.

There were no signs of life. No animals, no insects, not even the faint hum of wind.

Only silence and the echo of their footsteps.

After a few minutes, Yelath stopped before a large crater.

It stretched for kilometers and it looked like a black wound on the surface of the planet.

"It's down there," Yelath said, pointing to the center of the crater.
