Chapter 221: Demon in Human Skin
Tyler never revealed what Sophia’s father said to him that day. When they were going to school together as always, Tyler noticed her somber mood. She initially did not want to say anything, but eventually she couldn’t take it and revealed everything.
Just as he had expected, her mother had brought her to a rich party to show her off and discuss possible marriage partners. These days, she wears lenses in her eyes to make her eyes look less red. This diminished that eerie feeling everyone had when first looking at her eyes.
Thus making her more desirable to those rich boys. Her mother had left her alone with the heirs of multiple companies to let them talk on their own. Jake Parker was one of them; he seemed even more enthusiastic about her, considering they were classmates, and tried to flirt with her forcefully.
Despite knowing she absolutely abhors being near any boys except one, Jake Parker pressed on. With a lot of effort, she managed to wriggle her way out of them. But as always, her mother was extremely displeased; she didn’t care about her psychological health, what she was comfortable with, or what she was not.
Tyler’s heart tightened. What exemplary parents they are, trying to sell their daughter as if she were an abominable monster. He consoled her with what he could muster. Unable to help with that in any way.
Tyler came out of school and waited for her, but she messaged him that she was already on the riverside. He frowned. Why did she go there alone first?
He hurried to the place, having a lingering bad feeling. When he reached there, she sat in the same bench they always did, but there was a hollow look in her eyes, and she almost seemed to be on the verge of tears. Tyler’s expression turned absolutely serious. He asked in a heavy tone, “What happened?”
She looked at him, biting her lip, then looked down again, unable to see him in the eyes. Tyler asked again, his tone even softer, but she could feel impatience and anger in his voice rising to a dangerous degree. “Sophia? What happened?”
She still did not answer him. At this point, Tyler’s face darkened. He grabbed her shoulders tightly and stated for the final time, “TELL ME, WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED, RIGHT THIS INSTANT?”
Then, tears started to fall from her eyes, as if a dam had broken. Her expression became twisted as she hugged Tyler and cried. She stated through choking tears, “That bastard, Jake Parker, he grabbed my hand, and started to drag me to a corner forcefully. I barely managed to escape his grip. It almost seemed like he was about to do something to me…since engagement talks were….going on between us.”
Tyler hugged her even tighter as she cried and spilled the beans. His face had turned so dark at this point that even Sophia would be scared looking at the twisted and hideous expression on his face. But then his mind calmed down, it became so calm that it was almost…concerning.
Managing to make his expression neutral, he consoled her again and promised that if that guy ever did such a thing again, he would beat the shit out of him. But she disagreed and shook her head; she knew what could happen if Tyler actually did that. That guy Jake would make Tyler’s life a living hell. But alas! she did not know what kind of monster the boy she deemed as her best friend was underneath the human skin.
That night, he didn’t sleep a wink. As someone with extensive hacking knowledge, he spent the entire night searching for every piece of information about Jake Parker, his parents, their company, the allegations against them, rumors of their dirty dealings, and more.
He also listed all of Jake’s parents’ friends, enemies, subsidiary companies, rival companies, and the list of key individuals in each of the organizations. Finally finding a weak link somewhere. He hacked through and got insider information. Using that info, he found more weak links and broke through the firewalls. Gathering information that should never reach the hands of others. Eventually, he even found the cloud server and the logins where Jake himself kept his dirty files.
There were almost 20-30 videos of that bastard fucking…no raping different girls one after another. He searched online and found out about the identity of the girls. And many of them were reported to be missing or dead. There were even a few girls who were actually daughters of high-profile individuals. His eyes gleamed with such murderous fury as he gritted his teeth. Just the thought that this guy might violate Sophia made him shudder internally.
Through an untraceable channel, he sent files to the parents of that mongrel, evidence that could single-handedly bring down their business empire and lifestyle, and made one single demand. Move away from their current location. And live somewhere else, including their son. As for what turmoil followed for them next, he didn’t care.
Walking through the large school area, turning in multiple directions, and reaching a certain alleyway, Tyler saw Jake Parker and his underlings cussing and talking shit, but he stopped suddenly, hearing a familiar name,
“Sophia Turner, that damn bitch, how dare she run away. I’ve already convinced my parents that I want to have her. Heck, I’ll marry her. I’ve never seen a bitch so fucking hot and beautiful. I was going to kiss her that day since we were going to be engaged soon anyway, my parents promised.”
It was at this moment that someone else walked into the alley. Jake’s attention turned towards the figure, his face covered in the shadows of the tall buildings. He only noticed the blue eyes. One of his underlings whispered in his ears. And Jake grinned, hearing that.
“So, you’re the leech that sticks around that pink-haired bitch all the time.”
Jake paused for a moment and added with a dark tone, “It seems you don’t know your place.”
He signaled to one of his tall, buff-looking underling boys to beat him up. But something happened that stopped them all in their tracks. Tyler brought out his phone and showed the screen towards Jake, playing a video of him raping a girl, who was currently missing.
That girl was the daughter of one of their subsidiary companies’ previous leaders. The girl was found dead, by the side of the road, raped by an unknown assailant, just the day after this video was originally recorded. Jake’s face turned utterly pale at the sight of that video.
“How the fuck do you have that? You fucker??????”
He shouted to his underlings, “Catch that bastard now.”
And what followed afterward made Jake’s blood run cold. None of the 5 underlings were a match for him; Tyler beat them down like a wild beast that had lost all of its sanity.
Blood splattered all over his face and hands as he grinned like a demon that he truly was, always has been.
Jake tried to shout for help, but Tyler’s punch broke the boy’s teeth. With each of his punches, Jake’s face became more and more disfigured. Tyler growled with each of his bloody punches.
“She is… only, Mine….”
