After Alchemist and Perfikot combined their efforts to create the computer, many things became simpler.
Although this rather primitive computer could only perform numerical calculations, its calculation speed was already astounding for this era, able to complete tasks in a short time that would normally take months, saving a lot of time.
For example, Perfikot used this magic doll computer to complete some data calculations related to fantasy materials, successfully solving the problems that had previously blocked her, and developed new materials before winter arrived, thus turning to the fifth page of the Jade Record.
The capability on the fifth page is decomposition, a new ability that Perfikot considered somewhat inferior to the previous four capabilities.
So far, the Jade Record has unlocked five abilities: identification, analysis, optimization, deduction, and the newly unlocked decomposition.
Compared to the previous four abilities, decomposition seems very ordinary at first glance, as it separates two mixed substances.
It sounds useful, but it doesn’t seem that useful.
After all, for an alchemist, decomposing mixtures into different substances is a basic skill.
Thus, Perfikot did not delve too deeply into this capability, nor did she pay much attention to the new technology in the Jade Record.
Currently, the issues faced by the Northern Territory are more worthy of Perfikot’s attention than these.
Even though Perfikot had already begun addressing various problems exposed after this year’s first snowfall, the interval between the second snowfall and the first was not long, so even though she tried to solve the issues, she couldn’t achieve much success.

After her order to clear out the black market and smuggling rings, they became basically non-problems.
The major forces involved in smuggling settled down after being cleared out, and while cities like Chernobyl still have smuggling, and small traders move between various settlements, these are basically under control by Perfikot and the Northern Territory government, posing no threat or issue.
Compared to this, it was the transportation issue revealed last time that Perfikot spent quite a bit of effort on.
Firstly, she and Weir had agreed to compete in the development of large autonomous robots and tracked vehicles, a task delayed because the two turned to working on the computer.
But this wasn’t a big problem; since they now had a computer, the progress on design work accelerated significantly, and Perfikot estimated she would only need about a week to produce a complete tracked vehicle design and start production.
As for production capacity once manufacturing starts, that remains another matter.
However, this isn’t a problem for Perfikot; designing an automated assembly line isn’t difficult for her and Weir.

After all, this era is comparable to the early 19th-century steam age in the original world, where civil engineering technology remained quite primitive, far inferior to the construction standards of the original world.
Even the original world struggled to conduct construction work during winter, let alone here.
Thus, although Perfikot planned railroads and related construction for settlements isolated by snow during last snowfall, these projects couldn’t realistically proceed during winter, potentially having to wait until the spring thaw next year.
This was unacceptable to Perfikot, for the simple reason that only a year remained before the impending ice age, with temperatures to continue dropping afterwards.
If the issue of construction in cold weather couldn’t be resolved, it would entail facing even harsher conditions and construction challenges at that time.
However, it’s not entirely impossible to solve this issue. Both Perfikot’s tracked vehicle and Weir’s planned development of large robots could indeed address work needs under adverse weather conditions.
After all, there are always ways to deal with even the worst of weather, and Perfikot remembers developing a thawing potion to rescue a ship trapped in ice back in the day, a solution prepared for extremely adverse weather.
It’s just that the resources Perfikot had at her disposal were too limited, prompting her to develop such a thawing potion to tackle harsh weather.
