Mard Geer Tartaros, the founder and Guild Master of Tartaros. The Guild is named after his own name. He is the most influential figure in the Underworld, that's why he's called the King of Underworld.
Right now, that guy is sitting on his throne while looking at Alex arrogantly. Alex doesn't even look at him first, but the book he is holding. It's the reason Alex was in quite a hurry, after all.
Alex has tried to sense the whole Cube to find Zeref, but he couldn't sense that man anywhere. Maybe it's because Tartaros hasn't caused any commotion like destroying the Council or killing many people in a town just like what they did in the series, so Zeref isn't alerted.
Alex's group's attack is also very sudden, so Zeref shouldn't know it by now. If he knows, he would come to take the Book of END before it's taken or destroyed.
"Honestly, it's surprising that you can defeat those 8 without suffering any injury, human. Seems like I judge them too highly. They can't even defeat a single human."
Mard Geer talks about how his 8 main subordinates lost from Alex with a disgusted tone.
"Don't worry, you'll become like them soon." Alex cracks his neck while transforming into the Jinchuriki Mode he used in the Grand Magic Games.
"Impatient, aren't you?" Mard Geer smirks before snapping his fingers.
Some thorny vines come out of the floor and move toward Alex very quickly. It doesn't even take them a second to catch Alex, if they succeed.
However, Alex has gotten out of the way, so they can't catch him. Alex has dashed toward Mard Geer at an incredible speed and Mard Geer isn't ready for that.
A punch is planted on Mard Geer's arrogant face before he even knows it. The punch is really strong it destroys Mard Geer's hard throne and sends him crashes onto the harr walls behind him.
Alex doesn't play around anymore like what he did with the 8 Demon Gates. His heart is filled with unease like something bad is about to happen or something dangerous is coming and he never ignores his feelings.
The most possible cause for this is Acnologia and Zeref. Acnologia most likely feels the disturbance in the magic around here because of the battles between the Mages and the demons. Zeref might also sense it and even sense that Acnologia is moving.
That's why Alex needs to move fast so he'll be ready when Acnologia and Zeref come. His priority now is taking the Book of END from Mard Geer and he does it while punching the prick.
He grabs the book on Mard Geer's hand with his tails while punching Mard Geer's face. By taking the initiative first, Mard Geer won't be ready for his attack, that's why he didn't wait to make the 1st attack.
"The Book?!" Mard Geer's face is twitching from the pain, but he immediately realizes the book on his hand is gone and becomes more concerned about it.
He looks back at Alex through the holes created on the walls when he crashed onto them and sees Alex hold the book. It obviously enrages him because for him, END is the true leader of Etherious Demons and he thinks that END hasn't been released from the book yet.
"DAMN YOU LOWLY HUMAN! GIVE IT BACK!"
Mard Geer is suddenly mad and sends more thorny vines at Alex. He also sends meat-like fibers from the walls, floor, and ceiling along with the thorns. These meaty things are from the Cube and if caught, Alex will be "consumed" by the Cube.
But Alex can move very quickly to dodge the thorny vines and the goo. He dodges while moving toward Mard Geer again, now with a slower speed because he is also investigating the book a bit.
Mard Geer is very annoyed that he can't catch Alex even with his Thorn Curse and Alegria that can control the Cube.
"Hmm, I can't understand this book. Magic Book is really not my specialty, so I'll ask the experts to look at it later. For now, let's get rid of the current problem, you."
The book on Alex's hand suddenly disappears. It's not stolen by someone. He is just storing it in another dimension.
Alex can actually store items in another dimension and summon them back. It is not a Spatial Magic he learned from books or taught by anyone. This is the ability of his Rinne-Sharingan.
One of Rinnegan's abilities is Animal Path, which is to summon special immortal beasts. However, Alex actually can't summon those beasts. His Animal Path ability is replaced with this Spatial Magic where he can store items he touches with seemingly no limit.
He was very annoyed with this ability because in the beginning, he was hoping he could summon the giant beasts. If it's changed, then it should be changed to summoning the Tailed Beasts instead, not this Spatial Magic.
Well, it's useful, but he prefers to summon Giant Beasts instead of storing things. He can do it with magic bags like he usually did. Magic bags are expensive, that's why most Mages don't have them, but he has a lot of money, so it's not a problem for him.
However, he isn't as annoyed by this ability now because after he implanted the 2nd Rinne-Sharingan, he discovered that its ability isn't just to store things, but also something else he didn't realize before because it was very difficult to do with just 1 eye.
It's not important for now though. He needs to focus on defeating Mard Geer for now. The faster he can defeat Mard Geer, the better it will be because it will help him save energy for when Acnologia comes here.
So while dodging the thorny vines and goo, Alex moves toward Mard Geer. The demon who still looks like a human moved back, but then Alex pulls him using Bansho Ten'in.
Mard Geer is surprised by this ability and can't resist it. So in just a second, he already arrived right in front of Alex. A very strong fist coated with bluish lightning flies at a very high speed toward Mard Geer's face.
Alex sends a very strong straight punch at Mard Geer's face, sending the demon flies and crashes onto more walls. The pull and counter punch makes the damage on Mard Geer's face even greater.
Blood comes out of Mard Geer's broken nose. His skull also cracks because of that punch that's stronger than he thought. He has a look of disbelief on his face because a human can do something like this to him.
Mard Geer is so mad he doesn't even scream. He never got looked down on. For him, the only ones stronger than him are just END, Zeref, and Acnologia, no one else. Yet he is thrashed by a human he always underestimated.
Without saying a word, he stands back up and releases his massive amount of energy. His Curse Power is so strong it makes the room feel heavy. Even those who are far away can feel his massive power.
Mard Geer might be stronger here than he was in the series. His massive Curse Power actually alerts everyone in the Cube and stops their battles for a moment.
Alex who stands in front of him doesn't feel suffocated at all though. It makes him excited instead because there aren't many opponents at Mard Geer's level. He even starts to consider if he should enjoy this battle instead of saving energy to fight Acnologia.
While he thinks about that, Mard Geer actually transforms into his Etherious Form. It only needs 2 punches from Alex to force Mard Geer to go full strength. Those 2 punches are enough to show that Mard Geer can't win without being serious.
"You look good. But my transformations look way better. I'm more handsome by default, after all." Alex nods as if competing whose form looks cooler now even though Mard Geer doesn't care.
Without saying anything, Mard Geer creates a massive energy ball in front of him. Alex raises an eyebrow and suddenly, a giant log made of thorny vines shoot out of the massive black-white energy ball.
It extends very quickly towards Alex, destroying more walls on its way. There's no resistance from the walls, as if they are just papers. It reaches Alex very quickly, so Alex extends his hands to stop it.
Alex is actually pushed back a little, but he stops the growing giant thorny vine log. It looks fine until numerous thorny vines grow from the log and surround Alex. The growing thorny vines create a giant ball and the log grows again.
It now moves upward, breaking through the floors until it goes out of the massive Cube as the thorny vine ball also grows even bigger. Then after it comes out of the Cube, Mard Geer activates the Curse.
The giant thorny vine ball explodes after it comes out of the Cube. It's a very powerful explosion that even makes the whole Cube shake. If it was exploding inside the Cube, then the whole Cube might get destroyed, yet Alex takes it directly as he is inside that exploding bomb.
