Ben suddenly hears a voice in his head that calls him while he's on the podium. He doesn't know whose voice is this and tries to ask back.
'Who's this?' asks Ben in his mind.
'If you want to know, then come to my location,' says the voice.
'Why should I believe in someone I don't know and won't even reveal his name?' asks Ben.
'You are very careful and quite a thinker, unlike your father, Escanor,' says the voice.
Ben is surprised to hear someone know about Escanor. He never meets the Sun Dragon Escanor even though he has Escanor's power. Furthermore, this person says that Escanor is his father, something that even he never consider.
The only one who will call a Dragon as a parent is another Dragon Slayer. The other possibility is another Dragon. But Dragons have disappeared from Earthland, so there shouldn't be any other Dragons now.
The only possibility left is a Dragon Slayer. But Ben pondered on whether he can believe this person or not. Still, this person knows about Escanor, so he might have important information that Ben always wants to know.
'Where are you?' asks Ben. He decides to meet this person, but he will be very cautious.
'On the mountains, North from your current position. I'm inside a cave, near a lake in the center of these mountains,' says the voice.
'I'll go there after this,' replies Ben.
The voice was gone and Ben continue the winning award. It finished after half an hour, and Ben gets a reward of 15 million jewels. The first position gets 20 million, while the 3rd position gets 10 million.
After he finished everything, Ben goes to meet with the girls. He goes to the VIP room where they watched the race with Joseph's family. The girls hug him happily when he come and congratulate him for his win.
They have some small talks before Ben tells them to stay with Joseph's family for today. He tells them he has a business that he needs to attend alone, and it might take a few hours. They know it's important, so they agree.
"I will give you some money to spend. But you need to stay with them and never walk on your own!" instructs Ben to the girls.
"We understand. We will stay with them until you return," replies Wendy.
"Don't worry, I will take them to explore the Capital, so they won't be bored. Also, you can keep the money, I will buy them everything they want," says Joseph's wife, Lisa while hugging the girls happily.
Lisa really like Wendy because she always wanted a daughter. But she only got Arthur and never get a daughter. So she wants to pamper Wendy like she is her daughter. She also likes cats, so meeting 2 talking cats really makes her excited.
Ben accepts her offer and leaves the room. He takes his car and leaves the Capital Crocus. He goes to the mountains in the north of Capital city.
Ben goes to the center area to find the lake. He arrive after an hour because the ground is very hard to pass. Then he searches for the cave and finally finds a cave with a rather small entrance.
"Is this the place?" ponders Ben.
'It is, just comes inside. But be careful of the slippery ground,' Ben hears the voice again.
Ben enters the cave and the floor is made of very wet rock. Ben heated up his feet's to vaporized the liquid on the ground. It works and prevents him from getting slipped by the wet floor.
Ben keeps walking deeper in the narrow cave. After walking for a few minutes, he feels a presence deep in the cave. Ben prepares to grab his revolver and is ready to fight anytime.
A few minutes later, Ben reach the deepest part of the cave. He find a very big room that get illuminated by many lacrima crystals. Then in the center of this big room, is a giant skeleton. Ben can guess whose skeleton is this.
"A Dragon's skeleton?" says Ben.
'That's right, this is what remains of me, Son of Escanor,' says the voice.
"What remains of you? Are you this Dragon? But you should be dead right? Your body has become a skeleton after all," says Ben.
'Indeed, I has died 5 years ago. But I have a way to keep my soul alive. That's why I can only talk to you through telepathy,' says the voice.
"Wait! 5 years? I thought that the dragons disappeared 400 years ago," asks Ben with a confused expression.
'No, we didn't disappear 400 years ago. Although the cause for our disappearance was 400 years ago.'
"What is it?
'The cause is an individual. Someone that people now called as Black Dragon, Acnologia.'
Ben is surprised to hear this. He has heard about Acnologia from some books. But he never knows too much about Acnologia, except that he is very strong.
'My name is Smog, the Heat Dragon. I am one of the last dragons who lived until this age. Although I can be said to be dead by now,' Smog introduce himself.
Smog then explains to Ben that he is born around 700 years ago when the Dragons still rule this world. He is an admirer of the Sun Dragon Escanor.
Smog says that Escanor is one of the Ancient Dragon Gods who lived more than 2000 years ago. This is something that Ben never know, so he gets very interested in this.
Smog asks Ben how he got Escanor's power. So Ben tells him the story that he got from AI Chip. Smog then asks how Ben can live more than 400 years as a human. So Ben explain the time travel briefly.
'So you were sent from 400 years ago together with the other Dragon Slayers. Hmm, is it to save you from Acnologia's Dragon Hunt?' says Smog.
"Dragon Hunt? What is that?" asks Ben.
'Well, it's just a name that I made to call what Acnologia did. He hunted and kill Dragons since 400 years ago,' says Smog.
Smog then tells Ben about Acnologia's story briefly. Acnologia was a human who became a Dragon Slayer. Then he hunted Dragons and kill them.
By killing Dragons and bathed in their blood, Acnologia received an unimaginable power. He can also take the form of a Dragon because of his Dragon Slayer Magic overuse.
Acnologia killed a lot of Dragons and no one know the exact number. He is very strong and dangerous, so the remaining Dragons like Smog went to hid themselves. Then Acnologia got a title as the Dragon King, and he keeps searching for Dragons even to this day.
'His target isn't just Dragon, but also Dragon Slayer like you. So you need to be careful,' Smog warns Ben.
"He is that dangerous, huh? Alright, thanks for the reminder Fossil Dragon," says Ben.
'I am a Heat Dragon,' Smog tries to correct Ben.
"But you're a fossil now, so I'm not wrong, right?" Ben doesn't want to lose, make Smog sweatdrop at him.
'Sigh, whatever. Anyway, the reason I call you here isn't just to talk about Acnologia. I feel Escanor's power from you, so it piqued my interest. But I feel something is wrong with your body and I know what it is, the Dragon Seed.'
"Yeah, this is a problem that troubled me until now. Unlike other Dragon Slayers who have their Dragon parents live in their body, I don't have it like them because Escanor died shortly after giving me his power."
'Then, how if I help you?'
Smog suddenly offer to help Ben's case, so Ben become serious now.
"I'm listening."
