Ji Sang returned to Yujing Apartment, and to her surprise, Fu Yisi was already back.
She glanced at the time; it was only six o’clock.
She had intended to call him and ask if he would be back for dinner, so she could start cooking.
"You’re back so early today? Did you sort everything out?"
Ji Sang was hesitant to look into Fu Yisi’s eyes when she spoke, fearing that she might blurt out the news about finding Aunt Fu Zhixing.

She had to tell Fu Yisi slowly, very slowly.

Fu Yisi followed her in, standing right behind her, barely stopping himself from wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head on her shoulder.
"I like whatever you cook."

Four dishes and a soup, which was more than enough for the two of them.
Ji Sang even opened a bottle of red wine.
After sitting down, Ji Sang took a few deep breaths.
She had already begun to phrase how to tell Fu Yisi.
Under the warm light, she couldn’t make out Fu Yisi’s expression clearly, but she noticed, after she had tried to speak several times and stopped, the man suddenly raised his hand to stroke her head.
A stream of thoughts suddenly flooded Ji Sang’s mind.
Since Fu Yisi had already reached out to Uncle Yong, it meant there was some assurance, and also, Uncle Yong didn’t deny it.
And he came back so early today; did he know she went to the sanitarium?
Once she figured it out, Ji Sang froze for a moment, then cracked a smile.
"Do you know already?"
"Know what, hmm?"
Ji Sang gave Fu Yisi a playful look.
"Happy news, something that the whole family would be happy about."
Fu Yisi’s smile seemed frozen in place. Because Ji Sang was leaning her hands on the table, she leaned in close and saw the change in Fu Yisi’s eyes.
It was truly the first time she had seen such an expectant look in his eyes.
His face remained calm, but his hand had already grabbed Ji Sang’s hand.
"What is it?"
His voice was slightly hoarse due to restraining his emotions.
Ji Sang looked at him and suddenly began to feel pity.
For sixteen years, Fu Yisi had never let go of himself.
He must have been searching for his aunt with endless hope and prayers these days.
"The aunt is doing well."
