A whole team of medical staff involved in the resuscitation didn’t notice Huang Zhilei’s arrival, except for these two who greeted him as if heartily welcoming him.
Did these two have screws loose? As a neurosurgeon, Huang Zhilei, seeing light reflect off his glasses onto the bewildered faces of these two, turned and walked into the ward.
“You came?” Seeing his fellow townsman by his side, Sun Yubo asked in a low voice.
“If you guys are resuscitating, of course I have to come. I need to record it,” Huang Zhilei tapped the notebook in his hand, “Why wasn’t I informed as the attending immediately? Didn’t you need me here?”
Sun Yubo gave his townsman a look that said he didn’t want to talk.
Indeed, if no other support was needed, there was no need to call the attending.
But with the patient , notifying someone would have made no difference.

Li Qi’an, already low on strength, stumbled backward and nearly fell to the ground. Fortunately, Xie Wanying and the nurse quickly grabbed his arm.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Seeing his student pushed, Sun Yubo shouted.
Zhang Hao’s hands patted Aunt Wang’s rigid body: “Mom, let’s go home, I promised you, I’ll take you home. Answer me.”
On Aunt Wang’s still face, it seemed as if a smile lingered at the corners of her mouth, responding to her son.
Watching his mother’s expression, Zhang Hao’s face grew ever paler, almost as white as a dead man’s.
“You bastard! Do you have the face to show up? You killed mom, you killed her–” Miao Fen raised her fist and pounded on her husband, striking him with all her might.
Zhang Hao remained motionless, perhaps feeling as if he himself had died in that moment, suddenly realizing that the person who loved him most in this world was gone.
