Famous Among Top Surgeons in the 90s Chapter 612

Chapter 612: [(612)] Her popularity has increased. Chapter 612: [(612)] Her popularity has increased. Behind them, a group of doctors came up, carrying their trays and sitting down at the table next to Zhu Huicang and Cao Yong.

“Why are you guys sitting here?” Zhu Huicang asked in surprise. If he remembered correctly, these guys were from the Bone I and Bone II department, right?

“Just having a meal together. All the seats around here are pretty much the same. Any seat you take ends up being next to someone.”

Zhu Huicang grew wary, roughly guessing these people’s intentions. Who could blame him, considering the operation room had been filled with people cheerfully discussing the colorectal department today. “Your junior sister, she’s called Xie Wanying?” asked someone from orthopedics.

Zhu Huicang picked up his spoon and scooped some fried rice into his mouth. He and Cao Yong were not familiar with these people from orthopedics at all, yet here they were coming to them trying to pry information about Xie Wanying.

Previously, Xie Wanying had only caught the attention of some of the seniors from their eight-year program, with others from different departments, not from their eight-year program, hardly ever inquiring about her. Anyone who knew a bit about Xie Wanying wasn’t surprised by her performance today.

It could only be said that the colorectal people inadvertently magnified the news about Xie Wanying today, attracting the attention of more knowledgeable individuals.

“It’s that Mirror Assistant who is remarkable. Apparently, she guided Tan Kelin’s scalpel through the entire surgery, allowing him to complete the surgery very quickly.”

“She has a clear surgical thought process and poised actions. Steady as a bull on her first time at the surgical table, like an old hand,” someone remarked.

“I heard her first time as Chief Surgeon with a very simple surgery was quite calm too, but it started off a bit rocky.”

“It’s normal for interns to have slip-ups.”

“You guys say she was guiding Tan Kelin today. I’ve never seen a student guide a teacher before. Have you? I’m quite skeptical about what you’re saying,” someone expressed strong doubts about the various rumors.

“If you doubt what we say, you can go ask the people in the colorectal department. They must feel like they’ve been slapped in the face by Tan Kelin’s student. But I think they won’t admit it.”

Wasn’t it normal for the colorectal folks to get slapped in the face? Xie Wanying’s talent was innate, something mediocrities couldn’t even dream of. The skepticism of these people wasn’t strange, they needed to be practically slapped in the face to come to their senses. Thus, Zhu Huicang recalled how the Robot had found the fish bone based on Xie Wanying’s deduction, and it wasn’t Xie Wanying but the Robot that messed up, which had him laughing for several days.

Noticing his peculiar expression, someone from orthopedics asked, “She’s your junior sister, what do you think of her?”

“She’s just an intern. Are you guys really interested?” Zhu Huicang asked, repressing a smile, in return.

“Why wouldn’t we be interested? A female medical student able to perform so soon after entering clinical practice, I’ve never heard or seen such a thing before.”

“If you’re skeptical, don’t ask. Just think whatever you want to think,” Zhu Huicang said with a push of his glasses and a raised eyebrow, hoping these people would underestimate their junior sister. After all, Xie Wanying didn’t like to stand out, known for being what some might call too modest.

Rebuffed by him, they were frustrated but said, “As her senior, aren’t you going to say a few good words for her?”

“When have we ever said good things about our juniors?” Zhu Huicang said with a slight curve to his lips.

The best way to take care of juniors was never to hype them up as they could end up being targets of envy. The medical industry was fiercely competitive; being seen as a top rival could have obvious consequences.

They were annoyed by his water-tight responses, but they obviously couldn’t go and ask Cao Yong. What kind of person was Cao Yong? He certainly wasn’t going to answer their trivial inquiries.
