Famous Among Top Surgeons in the 90s Chapter 863

Chapter 863: [(863)] The new leader leading the team has arrived Chapter 863: [(863)] The new leader leading the team has arrived Xie Wanying recalled what her senior sisters had said before, “It’s best not to date someone from the hospital.”

Before she was reborn, she hadn’t felt too strongly about this in the testing department, which was a logistics department that kept a low profile, and it seemed the presence of spouses together didn’t have much of an impact, with no one gossiping.

“Who’s leading the team?” Chang Jiawei looked back and asked everyone.

No one said it was them.

“No one is leading the team?” Chang Jiawei was surprised. “Are we all here yet?”

“Teacher Tao said someone would come to lead the team,” He Guangyou finally replied.

“So, it was originally him leading the team, right?” Chang Jiawei said after hearing this. “It’s good he’s not here.”

“Be careful he doesn’t hear you saying that,” Zhu Huicang told him as people arrived.

Outside the vehicle, three people approached; one of them was the driver, who walked around the front of the vehicle and opened the driver’s side door.

Tao Zhijie and another man walked side by side, coming out of the administration building, chatting in English as they walked.

The people inside the vehicle listened in surprise.

“They are speaking English? Why?” Kang Mingzhu, who was sitting by the window and could hear clearly, turned back to ask what was going on.

This isn’t abroad, and they’re not communicating with foreigners, so why speak English?

“Is that person a foreigner?” Doctor Kim craned his neck.

Xie Wanying remembered what Dr. Luo had said: “Pediatric surgery is expecting a professor from overseas.”

The others suddenly remembered this news.

“I thought they were just kidding, could it be real?” Chang Jiawei followed by pressing his face against the window to join the excitement. “He doesn’t look like a foreigner.”

“Of mixed heritage?” Zhu Huicang suggested the possibility.

“Can’t someone of mixed heritage speak Mandarin?”

“What if they grew up overseas?”

Pediatric surgery in the country had been developing slowly, and it wasn’t strange for Guoxie to find a professor from a developed country to help their hospital enhance its pediatric surgery. And if the person happened to be of mixed heritage, all the better.

Tao Zhijie and the man finally reached the bus door. Both raised their heads to find a group of people giving them a curious gaze.

“Everyone is very welcoming of you,” Tao Zhijie said with a smile to the person beside him.

What was this Buddha saying? Describing their gaze, as sharp as if they were looking at a gorilla, as welcoming. A series of metaphorical dark lines fell across the foreheads of everyone on the bus.

Tao Zhijie and the newcomer stepped onto the minibus.

Everyone on the bus turned their heads to see the new foreign professor’s appearance up close.

He was a man over thirty, with features that showed signs of mixed heritage, a somewhat hawkish nose, lighter-colored eyes, slightly deep-set eyes, fair skin, and a handsome appearance. He wore a black and red plaid shirt that made him look like a restrained gentleman. His expression was quite reserved, possibly due to the language barrier upon just returning to the country, not seeming like someone who liked talking much.

“This is Dr. Nie Jiamin, who will become our professor of pediatric surgery. Today, the dean said to let him take my place in leading everyone on the rural medical outreach to experience the local customs. He is very interested in this,” Tao Zhijie introduced.

“Is there free medical consultation abroad?” Fan Yunyun, our fearless new rookie, eagerly asked the new professor.

Receiving her question, the hint of a smile appeared in Nie Jiamin’s eyes as he nodded.

“You can sit here. I had Dr. He and others bring your luggage. That one is Dr. He.” Tao Zhijie pulled the newly arrived Nie Jiamin to sit down on the front row seat.

Zhu Huicang and Chang Jiawei moved to the second row to give up their seats to the leader.

He Guangyou stood up to make an impression on the leadership.

Called by Senior Tao, Xie Wanying stood up inside the vehicle.

“Come and sit with Professor Nie,” Tao Zhijie said to her.
