Yang Wenxiao smiled upon hearing the comment, “I heard from Gao Lian that you’re here to bring me some delicacies?”
Yang Ye lifted the food box in his hand, “Indeed, these are dried sweet potatoes made by Qiao Xiaomai. They taste pretty good, but the appearance is rather unattractive. So much so that when I first received them, I was reluctant to bring them to the palace.”
“Oh?” Interest piqued, Yang Wenxiao asked, “What do they look like?”
With the exception of the top-notch flavour, Qiao Xiaomai’s dishes were ordinary in comparison to those from the Royal Chef. However, being able to perfect one of the attributes – colour, aroma or taste, was quite commendable. With this in mind, he turned his gaze to the food box in Yang Ye’s hand.
