Those with the BUFF mostly turned into ghosts after their demise.
Only those with the BUFF and who suffered a Revenge Skull Shatter would be transformed into True Wraiths.
However, as soon as Gaven had mastered the secret of this skill, the capability of Undead Manipulation was merged into the realm of Undead Vengeance, turning probability into certainty.
As long as one was slain by Gaven within the realm of Undead Vengeance, they were bound to be transformed into a True Wraith.
This was the truly terrifying aspect of the realm of Undead Vengeance.
The biggest flaw of this ability currently is its lengthy ten-day cooldown, necessitating the careful selection of targets—it couldn’t be used casually unless the target was sufficiently powerful and important.

Before the transformation, with maxed-out Revenge BUFF, Death Roar’s damage was only 5D8+10D6 = (15-100).
Now, with maxed-out Revenge BUFF, Death Roar’s damage is 5D8+10D8+6+11= (33-137)—where the +6 is due to the internal structure adjustment of Death Roar optimizing the Magic Power enhancement, and the +11 is from Gaven’s Professional Level adjustments, additional damage from the Close Range Shot specialty, and the Dexterity adjustment.
Without the Revenge BUFF, Death Roar’s damage is 5D8+6+11= (22-57)—assuming that all Special Abilities were activated, entering a Transcendent State; otherwise, the damage would dip by two to three points, as the Dexterity bonus wouldn’t be as high.
If the change to Death Roar wasn’t striking enough, the terrifying power of his lance and sword certainly was.
The lance thrust from the sky, laden with the maximum Revenge BUFF, inflicted 1D12+10D8+5+9 = (25-106) in damage. Since it struck the heart—a critical hit directly dealing maximum damage—the weapon’s main capability was in its aura buffs; its own lethality was not particularly strong. Without the series of Revenge abilities transmuted into Gaven’s own Special Abilities, effective only while wielding or using Death Roar, they would be reduced to a mere 1D12+5+9 = (15-26).
The same was true for the sword that decapitated Swift Roc.
Put simply, Philancy’s assistance wasn’t limited to just enabling his advancement to Arcane Adept; it also began to embed another distinct career system brought about by the Milestone of Destiny.
This aspect became particularly clear at the time of Swift Roc’s demise.

Three black ones would combine into one silver, and three silvers into one gold, on the condition there’s direct or indirect relevance.
Opting for Professional Level experience, however, was different; the experience granted by Swift Roc nearly filled the remaining half of the fourth level of the Arcane Soul Tower, bringing him just half a step away from the total Professional Level nine.
For Gaven, the most significant meaning of this event was that Milestones of Destiny no longer escaped his control but instead became a tool within his grasp.
The original nature of Milestones of Destiny was too extreme and severely impeded the normal progression of Gaven’s Professional Level—in Ferren, the regular track had a higher compatibility.
But one mustn’t overcorrect by completely negating the use of Milestones of Destiny.
Especially the Gold Milestone of Destiny; whether in impact or the Special Abilities it bestowed, many were irreplaceable. Not just now, even at the stages of Transcendent or Legendary, its significance was indispensable. Enlightenment and Destroy Evil are typical examples.
Without Destroy Evil, his formidable combo would cease to exist.
By comparison, the effects of Silver Milestones of Destiny were far less significant, and the Black Milestones of Destiny were basically inconsequential—rather than occupying resources, it would be better to use them to enhance one’s Professional Level.
With this clarity of thought, as long as a balance is well-maintained, it was possible to progress evenly without neglecting either aspect.
