But seeing her again, Jasmine Yale was still taken aback.
The beautiful and elegant woman was gone, replaced by a gaunt, indifferent, merciless woman.

“Do I need to repeat myself? I will let Chale Cheney go because my brother and sister are still in Sylvan Cheney’s hands, and I’m willing to exchange Chale for their lives,” Yolanda said impatiently.
“Why must I be the one to swap?” Jasmine chuckled.
When she laughed, there were slight dimples at the corners of her mouth.
Yolanda sneered coldly but didn’t respond, saying only indifferently: “Tell Sylvan Cheney’s men to back off.”
Jasmine could only look at Sylvan helplessly: “Mr. Cheney, tell your men to withdraw. I’m fine.”
“Jasmine Yale, why are you always so disobedient?” Sylvan Cheney stared at her intently.
“Haven’t I always been disobedient?” Jasmine chuckled, “If I hadn’t come, would you kneel for her?”
“Tell your people to pull out. I promise I’ll ensure Little Chale is safely returned to your arms. Please take good care of him and don’t yell at him all the time. The baby might get scared,” Jasmine instructed Sylvan with a smile.
It didn’t matter if he yelled at her, she was used to it anyway.
But Little Chale was different. The baby was still very young.
He couldn’t handle his harsh scolding.
“Since Yolanda still cares about her brother and sister, she will surely let Little Chale go. You don’t have to worry, everything will be alright,” Jasmine consoled him.
“Don’t you ever consider yourself?” Sylvan yelled at her.
“Do I look weaker than Yolanda? Don’t belittle me. If she and I are put together, she might not be a match for me. But Little Chale is different. He’s just a kid.”
Seeing Jasmine acting so carefree and even joking around, he almost wished he could swallow her whole.
“Don’t look at me like that. Please command your people to leave, Little Chale has been standing up there for a long time. He must be scared, and it’s freezing cold. I can’t stand it…” Jasmine looked at Sylvan.
The poor little fellow’s face was turning red from the cold.
He might catch a cold.
“Sylvan Cheney, tell your people to leave!” Jasmine shouted.
On the Ferris wheel, Yolanda moved a bit.
“I don’t have the time to listen to your flirting.” She started to move, dragging Chale Cheney along.
“Sylvan Cheney, are you withdrawing or not? Can you take your people out?” Jasmine looked at him coldly.
Charles McIntosh stepped forward and whispered: “Sir, we should withdraw for now.”
It was then that Sylvan nodded his head.
Receiving their instructions, Charles McIntosh and Lilac Serval immediately led a group of bodyguards to leave.
The crowd retreated, all of them pulling back beyond the Kindergarten.
Charles and Lilac Serval also left.
“Sylvan Cheney, get someone to open the back door,” Yolanda commanded from the Ferris wheel.
At that moment, if she so much as shifted a step, she and Chale Cheney would fall to their deaths.
The back door was not far from the amusement park. The back door led out to a well-preserved forest. Beyond the forest, it was a sheer cliff.
Sylvan didn’t move, his gaze narrowed as he stared at Yolanda who was keeping Chale Cheney hostage.
