The crowd released a simultaneous gasp. Yan Qingsi’s dismissive attitude definitely gave the reporters more juice to work with. This would turn into sensational news the moment it was revealed to the public.
Someone did not hesitate to raise a piercing question.
“Miss Yan, the rumors of you acting like a diva, arguing with the director and leaving in the middle of a shoot—are these all real too?”
Seven or eight security guards kept Yan Qingsi and Yue Tingfeng within a ring, yet the sheer number of reporters meant that there was barely a three-feet radius around them, and they struggled to advance forwards as they were being pressed in from all sides.

Yan Qingsi gradually inched forward. “Why do you care? What are you to her?”

“I’m nothing to her. I’m just a reporter. Don’t you think that you have some attitude going on, Miss Yan?”
“I don’t think I have “some attitude.” You’re not very nice to me, so why should I be nice to you? I’m not crazy enough to smile at people who are not smiling at me.”
Yan Qingsi had always been this way as she thought to herself, ‘If you do not like me, why should I be nice to you? Besides, why are you expecting niceties from me when you are a total stranger?’
The female reporter flushed red. “Miss Yan, you’re a public figure. Every citizen has a right to keep their eyes on you. Don’t you think you should correct your attitude? Beating people up, fighting with the director, playing a diva… All this proves your rotten character. If you don’t even have the willingness to repent, the entertainment industry won’t keep you around for much longer…”
The female reporter spilled out everything in one long breath, saying things that a regular reporter would not have the guts to do so.
Yan Qingsi stopped in her tracks and flashed her a smile. “I’m a public figure. So what? Should a public figure swallow all the abuse thrown in their direction? Besides, I have never once thought that I was wrong.
“You only saw me beating her, but you never asked why I beat her. Nobody bothered to investigate the possible causes and find the truth. You just caught on to the tip of the iceberg, and you refuse to let go. Media people have long since thrown ‘journalistic objectivity’ out of the window. What right do you have to criticize me?”
As soon as she finished speaking, Yue Tingfeng turned Yan Qingsi around and shielded her.

Yan Qingsi dragged a nearby cameraman and shoved her face up close to the lens. “Zeng Yingying, I’m asking you. Do you even have the guts to say everything you said that day?” she said icily. “If you don’t, then shut your mouth.”
