Ye Shaoguang felt his teeth ache. “Can I go take a shower?”
“Sure, we can shower together,” Ji Mianmian replied.
Ye Shaoguang slapped the woman’s hands away. “Thank you, but I don’t have the habit of showering with others.”
The woman let out an indignant huff. “Tsk, the demon is fussy.”
Ye Shaoguang’s jaw clenched. He needed to think in silence and decide what he wanted to do.
Ji Mianmian rolled around on the bed and said, “Hey, can you be quick? I really can’t wait.”
He almost tripped on the carpet. “Shut up.”
The woman made a face at him.
‘Tsk, the demon is fussy and anal,’ Ji Mianmian thought.
Ye Shaoguang walked into the bathroom. Worried that Ji Mianmian would barge in, he locked the door.
The world was finally quiet. He massaged his temple.
He figured that his two encounters in the past had made him immune to Ji Mianmian’s silliness and yet… he had underestimated the extent of her stupidity and overestimated his tenacity.

He had no words to describe that woman. If there was anyone in the world who could drive him mad, it was Ji Mianmian.

Ji Mianmian waited for a moment, two moments. There was no sign of the man. She was bored to tears now. She leaped from the bed and went to knock on the bathroom door.
“Ye Shaoguang, Demon Ye, are you showering? Or are you constipated? Are you coming out?”
Ye Shaoguang muttered to himself, “Ignore her. Ignore her.”
Ji Mianmian continued knocking despite the lack of response. “Can you hurry up? I’ll strip first okay? Just come out naked once you’re done, don’t waste time.”
Her flippancy towards the whole thing frustrated Ye Shaoguang to no end.
Ji Mianmian took off her shorts and crawled back onto the bed. She was only wearing her bra and panties. “How comfortable… Oh, how nice it is to stay in a rich man’s room.”
The comforts of the bed, compounded with Ji Mianmian’s tiredness, lulled her to sleep.
When Ye Shaoguang came out of the bathroom, Ji Mianmian was lying spread eagle on the bed, soundly asleep. Some unknown liquid was glistening by her mouth.
The sight brought relief to Ye Shaoguang. Finally, he did not have to hear her talk.
Cladded in a bathrobe, he sat by the bed and poked at Ji Mianmian’s face. It was soft. Another poke, soft. Another…
Ji Mianmian was dead to the world. No matter how many times he poked her, there was nary a response.
Ye Shaoguang chuckled softly. “You probably won’t even know if I did anything to you now. You wouldn’t even know if I sold you out.”
