Ye Shaoguang rushed out of the restaurant and just caught them getting on the car and leaving. He gnashed his teeth in frustration and kicked a vase at the restaurant’s entrance over. It shattered.
The action shocked the doorman. “Sir, this vase is our restaurant’s—”
Ye Shaoguang did not wait for him to finish before taking out a wad of money and thrusting it into his hands.
The doorman immediately altered the second half of his sentence: “Have a nice day, sir. Please come back soon.”

Yue Tingfeng dropped Ji Mianmian and Lil Xu off at the hotel first. He drove Yan Qingsi and did not tell her their destination.
Yan Qingsi pinched her chin. “Where are you taking me?” she asked.
“I’m going to sell you!”
Yan Qingsi reached out to gently pinch Yue Tingfeng’s ear. “No one can buy me, unless… you are willing to give me away.”
Yue Tingfeng’s ear tickled badly. He grabbed Yan Qingsi’s hand and pulled it near his mouth, giving it a peck. “Of course… I’m not willing! I spent so much time and energy and I’ve not married you yet. How could I sell you?”
Yan Qingsi was a prominent figure in the entertainment industry and had garnered plenty of attention a long time ago. Through Yue Tingfeng’s network, she knew that plenty of investors were interested in her and wanted to bed her.
However… naturally, Yue Tingfeng never told Yan Qingsi how he dealt with those people.
Of course, he would protect her as much as he could in the entertainment industry.
The car stopped. Yue Tingfeng took out a mask and helped Yan Qingsi to wear it. Then he placed a baseball cap atop her head.
“Come on.” Yue Tingfeng took Yan Qingsi’s head as she got down from the car.
After they walked for a bit only then did Yan Qingsi realize that Yue Tingfeng brought her to see a movie.
Yue Tingfeng dragged Yan Qingsi to the ticket queue like the others. She did not respond for a moment.
Watching a movie?
This was normal for most people, but it was an alien concept to Yan Qingsi. She had not been to the movies in a very long time, probably for a few years now.
She could not remember when was the last time she had been to the cinema.
The people in the queue were mostly in pairs— lovers, parents with their children, friends. It was rare to see people who watched movies alone.
Someone researched on the internet and found that your loneliest moments were said to be when you were eating alone, or when you were watching a movie alone.
Perhaps she did not go to the cinema because she had not found anyone she could watch movies with. When you experience a multitude of emotions while watching a movie alone and you see everyone around you having someone to share that with, the loneliness that bubbled in your heart could swallow you whole.
Yan Qingsi’s hand was in Yue Tingfeng’s. She felt his strength, the heat from his palm.
The corners of Yan Qingsi’s lips slowly turned upward. This was… a normal date.
Yue Tingfeng bought two tickets. Yan Qingsi did not ask what movie they were going to watch. It was fine so long as he was there.
Yue Tingfeng bought two cups of coke and a bucket of popcorn. She carried the two cups of coke. He hugged the popcorn bucket with one arm and held her with the other as they entered the screening hall.
Yue Tingfeng sat down in the last row. He shrugged off his jacket and placed it over Yan Qingsi’s shoulders.
