What’s with his mood now?
Just as she started calling his name, his large hand clutched her neck—not painfully, though:
"Lu Jing, you fucking owe me a good explanation now, don’t you?"
He never called her by her full name normally, it was always Lu’er or wife.
The last time he formally used her full name was two months ago when Lu Jing had just returned to the country.
It was late at night; had something serious happened again?
The man’s laugh turned cold, and his head pressed lower.
His cool lips barely brushed against the woman’s ear:
"Explain how it felt to be set up on that blind date?"
Hearing that, what didn’t Lu Jing understand?
She felt a mix of laughter and tears:
"Who told you I went on a blind date?"
Who else could it be?
"Did Brother Wu tell you? I saw him there!"
It felt irritatingly familiar.
Why were these grown men so gossipy?
And always so keen to tattle!
"So, explain it to me. I’m listening."
Lu Jing was speechlessly annoyed, but clearly, he had scaled the wall to come find her, obviously resolved to hear it out.
"There was no blind date, it was just a coincidence."
"A coincidence? Are you sure?"
She couldn’t help but roll her eyes:
"What else could it be? You think I actually went on a blind date?"
Who did he think she was?
Forget their current relationship; even when they weren’t on good terms, Lu Jing would never agree to such things, not intending to waste energy on such trivial matters.
"How come I heard that your aunt really liked that guy?"
How did he know everything?
Is he omniscient or what?
Lu Jing’s lips twitched involuntarily:
"It was alright, just so-so."
The man’s hand tightened slightly, rendering her unable to move.
"What do you think about him?"
"Jiang Ye, do you have some kind of problem?"
How many times did she need to explain?
It wasn’t really a problem; mainly, this man’s possessiveness was extremely strong, persistently so.
"Spill it quickly, or I won’t be nice anymore."
Yet Lu Jing wasn’t scared; instead, she twisted his arm:
"Why are you yelling? Are you hoping my mom and dad find out or something?
I haven’t even started on you; using the gate is too difficult that you had to scale the wall, do you realize the consequences if someone saw?"
Perhaps by dawn, the entire villa complex would know and then it would be the topic of discussions.
Lu Jing certainly didn’t want to walk around being pointed at and talked about, especially since tomorrow was her cousin’s wedding!

It’s not like we murdered or committed arson.
What’s wrong with young people having a bit of romance?
Lu Jing couldn’t win against Jiang Ye and was too lazy to continue:
"Go back, I need to sleep, I have to get up early tomorrow and be busy."
Upon hearing that word, the man was displeased.
His now warm lips moved from her ear to the edge of her lips:
"When did I say I was going back?"
He had come all this way after all.
It made no sense to return without accomplishing anything.
Lu Jing was taken aback:
"You’re not going back? How can that be?"
Her hands began to push him.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t budge him.
"Don’t move recklessly, or you’ll be responsible for the consequences!"
She knew all too well what that implied.
