First Legendary Dragon: Starting With The Limitless System Chapter 26

Soon, Rina chose a ring for herself as well. However, her ring was…shabby compared to Fiora's. There was no gem in it—just a simple silver ring with little designs on it.

He raised an eyebrow, looking at her choice. "You sure about this? You can pick again, I won't mind."

Rina softly shook her head with a gentle smile. "This is enough for me. Hehe, a gift from Master Orion…" She clasped her hands and brought them closer to her chest, "…I will be sure to cherish it."

Fiora looked at Rina's chosen treasure and hesitated to accept the one she had chosen.

Orion smiled, looking at the two of them. "Okay, now off you go. I need to sleep as well." He gently pushed them out of the room before returning to the treasure-filled table.

His face darkened as he remembered what had just happened. "Can't go on… This can't go on ."

His fist was tightly clenched as he remembered the events of the whole day. "I…will I really let these pathetic draconic instincts control my mood? I'm above these mere instincts. I'm a Perfect True Dragon!"

Dragon Might brewed inside his body, ready to unleash all around him, but he quickly calmed himself down. "Will these instincts become stronger on my awakening? Or when I go into hibernation to grow up from a Hatchling to a Juvenile Dragon?"

He paced around the room. He hadn't thought about this issue before, but now that he did, he didn't want to lose his Human Identity.

"I'm not only a Perfect Dragon but also a Perfect Human. What do these names mean? The system gave these names probably 'cause it doesn't have enough information about the Bloodlines due to its low starting level." He tapped his forehead, thinking about various scenarios.

In the end, he went to lie down on the bed, "I will need to see what changes in my bloodlines as well as the system during my awakening."

He closed his eyes, finally deciding to rest after all the events of the day.

The next day, he began his usual routine: getting up, taking a bath, teasing Fiora and Rina, having breakfast with Eldric and Selene, and finally heading to the library.

Days continued to pass , each being as uneventful as the last. Arya and Reynold didn't come again during this period. Likely due to Eldric telling them not to disturb Orion's study.

Orion's main focus was on magic knowledge and the political landscape of this kingdom. Another interesting thing he found was the common enemy of the continent:

"The Demons attacking this part of the Continent are under the banner of 72 Demons? But there is only a single name mentioned—Vepar." He curiously looked at the depiction of a woman with dark teal hair flowing like water, wearing armor resembling black coral.

"Interesting… it's really too interesting." He muttered while gazing intently at the demoness.

"72 Demons of Solomon… So they are present in this world." He softly muttered. He had read a lot about the 72 Demons of Solomon in his last life due to their huge influence in the world of fiction.

"But I can't be too sure, it might just be a coincidence," he said without confidence. "But if they are really the 72 Demons of Solomon, then where are Baal, Paimon, Asmodeus, Belial, and other high-ranking demons? Vepar is nothing but a small fry in front of them."

He thought about it for a while, thinking about all the small details he had gathered after arriving in this wo— "Wait, Echo!" His eyes widened as he suddenly exclaimed, "I remember him saying something about Chiliocosm. And if what I know about Chiliocosm is correct, then this world is but a mere small part of it. This would make sense why such a weak Demon is here."

He repeatedly nodded to himself, thinking he had figured it out at least. "I wonder, will there be other mythical beings in this world as well?" he looked outside the window.

There were too many mythical figures that he wanted to meet. And with the blessings bestowed upon him, it was possible for him to stand toe-to-toe against them.

"Master Orion, we brought snacks." Rina's cheerful voice came from outside the door.

Orion closed the book, "Come in."

Rina pushed open the door while Fiora brought a tray filled with snacks and dessert.

Orion looked up to see them placing the tray in front of him, his gaze slightly pausing at their fingers before a small smile formed on his lips.

His days continued flowing before, finally, a month passed. The day of his awakening soon arrived.

He stood inside a large hall of his mansion which had been emptied by the butlers. Eldric and Selene stood in front of him.

"Orion, are you sure you want to awaken? You might awaken naturally in some time," Eldric said with a grave expression on his face.

Selene's hand trembled, but she held herself back from saying anything.

Orion nodded his head, "Yes, I want to awaken right now because I know I won't be able to awaken for a few more years due to my situation," he softly explained.

He couldn't outright tell them that he was only a month old, and he would still need some time to awaken naturally.

Eldric and Selene looked at each other before nodding their heads.

"Then be prepared, since it is a forceful awakening, it will be painful," Eldric said with the same grave tone.

Orion gently smiled, "You don't have to worry about that, Grandpa. I can handle a little pain."

Selene looked at him worriedly. She knew how intense the pain of this awakening was. This was the reason there weren't mages all over the place: because no one wanted to experience this pain so early. And the awakening wouldn't be very effective at a later age.
