Chapter 473: What did she send?
In the afternoon, Li Qian paid a visit to the Bai household.
Upon hearing that Wen Ran was at Bai Xiaoxiao’s house, she dialed Wen Ran’s number, and together they looked over the pictures Mo Xiuchen had sent earlier that morning once again.
Li Qian’s eyes brimmed with envy, “Ranran, looking at your photos makes me want to travel immediately.”
Bai Xiaoxiao laughed, “Sister Li, we think alike. This morning when I saw these beautiful photos of Ranran, I wished I could spread my wings and fly to Bali Island. But, I can only wish.”
Wen Ran simply smiled in response.
Thinking that her leg hadn’t fully recovered, Li Qian comforted her, “Xiaoxiao, when your leg is better, isn’t it just a matter of buying an airplane ticket? You used to go out a lot, I’m the pitiful one.”
“The issue is not just buying a plane ticket; the key point is that Ranran has the world’s best husband on her side. I would be alone no matter where I go. Even if I took exactly the same photographs, I wouldn’t make people as envious as Ranran does.”
Bai Xiaoxiao pouted, her tone was full of bitterness.
Li Qian tried to suppress her laughter, looking first at Bai Xiaoxiao’s pouting lips, then–after taking a look at the laughing eyes of Wen Ran–she realized that Ranran truly is a happy little woman, nourished by love.
“Xiaoxiao, hearing you talk this way makes us think that you long to get married immediately.”
“If there was a man as great as Mo Xiuchen, I wouldn’t mind getting married right away.” Bai Xiaoxiao spoke candidly. When you encounter a man of true virtue, it is only wise to hold onto him.
“I think Luo Haofeng is not bad at all, but you don’t seem to care at all.” Wen Ran interjected. With Mother Bai out of the house, she wasn’t afraid of getting scolded for saying this.
“Luo Haofeng? Forget about it, he can’t even pass my mom’s approval.” Bai Xiaoxiao snorted. Luo Haofeng really left yesterday because of her words. Men as arrogant as him were better left alone, she thought.
Wen Ran cast her a teasing glance while saying, “Xiaoxiao, it’s unfair of you to say that about Luo Haofeng. The problem is not that he can’t pass Aunt Qiao’s barrier. It’s you not giving him a chance.”
Li Qian, understanding the gist of their conversation, blinked her eyes in amusement before asking, “Is there anything going on between Luo Haofeng and Xiaoxiao? Ranran, further explain it to me.”
Bai Xiaoxiao glared at Wen Ran, quickly responding, “No, Sister Li, don’t listen to Ranran’s nonsense. There’s nothing going on between Luo Haofeng and me.”
“Why are you panicking if there’s nothing going on?”
Wen Ran raised an eyebrow, and Li Qian broke into laughter, “Xiaoxiao, I think Luo Haofeng is actually quite decent. He might seem lackadaisical, but he isn’t uninhibited. Honestly, he is so much better than Xiao Yuting.”
“It’s not that Xiaoxiao thinks Luo Haofeng is not good, it’s that Aunt Qiao doesn’t like him. Since Xiaoxiao doesn’t want Aunt Qiao to be upset, she decided to nip her budding feelings in the bud.”
As Wen Ran said this, she even made a hand gesture.
“Aunt Qiao doesn’t like Luo Haofeng? Why though?” Li Qian looked at Wen Ran and Bai Xiaoxiao with curiosity. Because of Wen Ran, she had become quite familiar with Bai Xiaoxiao and, consequently, knew Bai Xiaoxiao’s mother as well.
To Li Qian, Mother Bai appeared to be an understanding, kind, and gentle woman. Why would she dislike Luo Haofeng so much as to oppose Xiaoxiao’s relationship with him?
Wen Ran shrugged, “I don’t know either. That’s something you would have to ask Aunt Qiao. Maybe it’s because of Xiao Yuting’s influence. She might think that Luo Haofeng is just as flirtatious and unreliable as Xiao Yuting.”
“Luo Haofeng used to be a flirt, but he’s not the same as Xiao Yuting.” Li Qian laughed as she clarified. Luo Haofeng is good friends with Qin Mu and doesn’t carry the same nature as Mo Xiuchen. Therefore, sometimes, he even went to her house with Qin Mu for meals. She understood him to some extent.
“To my knowledge, Luo Haofeng has not had that kind of relationship with countless women like Xiao Yuting. He’s had girlfriends before, but those were serious relationships. With other women, he maintains only friendships. He can’t help it if he’s blessed with a charming face that women are so fond of.”
Wen Ran couldn’t help but laugh. She was about to say something when her phone rang suddenly with a new text message.
“Ranran, could it be Mo Xiuchen missing you and sending you a message?”
Bai Xiaoxiao steered the conversation, her face bearing a teasing smile.
“Is Mo Xiuchen really that romantic?”
Li Qian also looked at Wen Ran, her tone full of teasing.
Wen Ran’s brows formed a laughing curve, but she didn’t answer their question. Instead, she took out her phone. Seeing the caller ID, the smile on her face disappeared, replaced by a small frown.
“What, isn’t it Mo Xiuchen?”
Bai Xiaoxiao leaned over to take a peek.
“No, it’s Tong Shishi. Why’s she sending me a message? Strange.”
Wen Ran unlocked her phone as she commented with bewilderment. Even if Li Qian didn’t know who Tong Shishi was, Bai Xiaoxiao did.
“Ranran, there’s no chance Tong Shishi would send you anything good. I think it’s best if you don’t look at it. She may have sent another nauseating message. Here, let me look at it for you first.”
As Bai Xiaoxiao suddenly thought of something, her eyes narrowed. Just as Wen Ran unlocked her phone and was about to open the message, Bai Xiaoxiao quickly snatched the phone away.
It took a second for Li Qian to remember who Tong Shishi was. Seeing Wen Ran look at Bai Xiaoxiao with a frown, she immediately asked, “Ranran, who is Tong Shishi? The name sounds familiar, but I can’t remember.”
With Li Qian’s question successfully distracting her, Wen Ran turned her head and explained, “Tong Shishi is Little Liu’s ex-girlfriend. She was the one involved in the scandal with Mo Zixuan and who ended up being targeted by netizens. Later, she became pregnant and was going to marry Little Liu…”
Li Qian looked at Bai Xiaoxiao’s expression subtly changing before she realized, “Ranran, from what you said, I think it’s not necessary for you to see what Tong Shishi sent.”
Wen Ran frowned slightly and turned her head to look at Bai Xiaoxiao. She saw Bai Xiaoxiao’s face filled with anger and asked sharply, “This bitchy woman Tong Shishi has really reached the limit.”
Li Qian looked at Bai Xiaoxiao curiously.
Wen Ran took back her phone, which was passed to her by Bai Xiaoxiao, opened her messages, but Tong Shishi’s message had already been deleted by Bai Xiaoxiao. She looked at Bai Xiaoxiao and asked, “Xiaoxiao, you deleted the message. What did she send?”

Bai Xiaoxiao, still angry, thought for a moment before explaining, “It’s still about Mo Zixuan. She said that it was you who seduced Mo Zixuan, which is why he ignored her.”
“Mo Zixuan?” Wen Ran’s eyebrows knitted together tightly. Tong Shishi was really boring. She had no relationship with Mo Zixuan, so how could she seduce him?
“Could it be that Little Liu ignored her and she turned to Mo Zixuan again?”
Wen Ran stared at her phone in confusion. Unfortunately, the content had already been deleted by Bai Xiaoxiao.
