“Xiaoxiao, slow down, don’t let Ranran stumble and fall.”
Mo Xiuchen noticed Bai Xiaoxiao rushing off with Wen Ran as if she couldn’t wait another minute to get away from Luo Haofeng. His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he voiced a warning, fearful that Wen Ran would be pulled down by Bai Xiaoxiao’s speedy stride.

Taken aback by Mo Xiuchen’s playful and somewhat mocking tone, Luo Haofeng frowned and replied seriously, “Do I seem like such a frivolous person to you?”
Mo Xiuchen simply smiled without a word and started walking towards the hotel.
Luo Haofeng rolled his eyes at Mo Xiuchen’s retreating back and quickly followed suit. Entering the hotel, they walked shoulder to shoulder towards the elevator. Bai Xiaoxiao and Wen Ran had already taken the elevator to their floors.
“Xiuchen, I’ll room with you tonight. Let Ranran and Xiaoxiao share a room.”
The moment Luo Haofeng finished speaking, the elevator arrived. As the elevator doors slowly opened, people exited and just before Mo Xiuchen entered he shot Luo Haofeng a cold glance, as if saying, “you must be dreaming.”
Once inside the elevator, Luo Haofeng quickly explained, “Xiuchen, I really need to talk to you about something. It’s about ‘Hao Chen’.”
Mo Xiuchen didn’t respond. He stood tall and handsome inside the elevator, with a calm look on his face. It was unclear whether he had heard Luo Haofeng’s words.
Wen Ran was pulled into her room by Bai Xiaoxiao. As soon as the door closed, Bai Xiaoxiao said, “Ranran, can you sleep with me tonight?”
Wen Ran smiled at her before closing the door, then walked over and sat down on the sofa. Bai Xiaoxiao sat down next to her, leaning her head against Wen Ran’s shoulder, “Ranran, I have so much to talk to you about.”
“What do you want to talk about? Hurry up, I’m really tired.”
Wen Ran giggled softly, a faint smile playing on her lips. After asking the question, she yawned. She had been wide awake during the flight and hadn’t slept at all.
Now that they were in A City and had not rested at all, she was both tired and sleepy.
Bai Xiaoxiao turned to look at her, wrapped her arms around Wen Ran, and chuckled, “Ranran, do you think my mom will break my legs or sever our mother-daughter relationship if she finds out I agreed to date Luo Haofeng?”
Wen Ran closed her eyes and lazily replied, “I think she’ll do both. Are you scared?”
The color drained from Bai Xiaoxiao’s face. Her eyes widened in surprise as she stared at Wen Ran.
Wen Ran gave Bai Xiaoxiao a nudge. Bai Xiaoxiao was clinging onto her and wouldn’t let go, so she gave up trying. “Xiaoxiao, I don’t think Aunt Qiao is unreasonable. Even if her dislike of Luo Haofeng stems from Xiao Yuting, it doesn’t mean she would vehemently oppose you being with Luo Haofeng.”
Bai Xiaoxiao sighed and pressed her lips together, looking depressed. “Ranran, you don’t understand. My mother has warned me more than once not to be with Luo Haofeng. Moreover, whenever she warns me, her attitude is very resolute. If she weren’t my mother, I’d think Luo Haofeng had done something to offend her in the past.”
Wen Ran twitched her mouth and opened her eyes to look at Bai Xiaoxiao, “Is that any way to talk about your mother?”

After Bai Xiaoxiao finished thought through her thoughts, she called out to Wen Ran again, only to get no response.

Mo Xiuchen and Luo Haofeng were each sitting on a sofa. Each leaning back lazily on their respective sofas, a water glass placed in front of them.
“Xiuchen, An Lin has already started complaining, saying that it’s unfair for us to have nothing to do while she fully loaded with work.”
Luo Haofeng’s eyes twinkled, brimming with amusement, as he looked at the handsome and languid man across from him. His words hinted that Mo Xiuchen should take over the management of Hao Chen since Wen Ran was better now.
Mo Xiuchen wasn’t a fool- he certainly understood the context of Luo Haofeng’s words.
Mo Xiuchen narrowed his eyes, a flicker of deeper intentions hidden in his gaze, “No problem, I can head over to Hao Chen in a couple of days.”
Luo Haofeng sat up straight, his eyes keenly gauging Mo Xiuchen. He even considered reaching out to touch his forehead, wondering if he was running a fever.
The reason for Mo Xiuchen’s resignation as CEO of MS Group, was to have more time with Wen Ran, wasn’t it? So why was he now so easygoing about this?

Mo Xiuchen glanced at him casually, rubbing his temples with a detached air, “When have I ever lied? If you want to go, then I can stay back here.”
“No, no, Xiuchen, you go. You have the leadership skills that we lack, so you’re the best fit for it. I’ll stay here in G City and get accustomed to working at my father’s branch.”
Staying here would keep him close to Bai Xiaoxiao. He had just convinced her to be his girlfriend- naturally, he didn’t want to be separated from her by distance so soon.
Mo Xiuchen had no objections. He was aware that Haofeng needed time to cultivate his relationship with Bai Xiaoxiao, and that Qin Mu had to stay in A City for a while longer. They had found some leads at the beauty salon earlier in the afternoon.
Qin Mu would stay behind to continue the investigation.
On the Hao Chen side, An Lin had already contacted the Manxue Winery in D Country, following his instructions. The matter was an important one, and he planned to handle it personally. If need be, he was prepared to make a trip to D Country.
All these issues needed to be sorted out in the shortest possible time. Looking at the big picture, he realized he wouldn’t have much time to spend with Wen Ran in the upcoming days. The thought pricked his heart.
